Jessie James Decker has made her radio debut before, but something about hearing her pipes through the stereo of the car just doesn’t get old for the rising country star. On Saturday, August 28, Decker took to Twitter to share an emotional video of her listening to her recently released banger, “Should Have Known Better.”
“My song SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER was JUST played on @SXMTheHighwway! Hearing this song for the first time on the radio brought such happy tears to my eyes!” says the powerhouse vocalist in the tweet. “Thank y’all so much for supporting me! I can’t wait to sing this song to you in person on tour next year !!!!!!!! I love you!” she adds.

The short clip shows Jessie James Decker behind the steering wheel wiping happy tears from under her eyes – as her NFL husband, Eric Decker, records the monumental moment. If music-goers listen closely, they will hear Eric in the background say, “your back, baby.”
While listening to the women empowerment anthem, she looks over to Eric and questions, “Why am I crying?” The supportive husband continued to congratulate her as he broke out into song to show his loyal support.
Now, her heartthrob husband is not the only one cheering on Jessie’s country music comeback, as social media users started praising the breakthrough star for her music and vulnerability. “Wow, what an amazing feeling…you are truly amazing. Congratulations❤️,” says a compassionate fan. “Long hard road, let ’em flow & congratulations,” tweeted another user recognizing her long musical journey.
“Should Have Known Better” is Decker’s return back into the limelight, as she took a step back from music to focus on building her family and other projects. In 2018, the songstress released a Christmas album, and in 2019, she dropped “Roots and Wings” and her mid-tempo rendition of “Old Town Road.”
While juggling mom duties, her clothing brand ‘Kittenish,’ and being a reality star – Decker has made it clear that she is back and better than ever. The country-pop singer is set to make waves on tour come next year. Decker fans can purchase tickets to her live shows, here!
