Jennifer Nettles has landed an exciting new gig as the host of the upcoming dating series, Farmer Wants a Wife.
Premiering on FOX at 9/8c on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the show will feature the Sugarland frontwoman woman helping four farmers find love in the heartland of America.
According to a press release, the four featured farmers will bring their group of dates to their ranches where will they will give them an unfiltered look at what life is really like on the farm. The women will leave dating apps and their quest for love in the big city as they hope to win over the hard-working ranchers.
As they search for a wife amongst the pool of women, the farmers will showcase daily life on the farm through activities like feeding cattle and baling hay.
The show poses the question: how much of your life are you willing to change for love?
FOX announced the show on Wednesday (Dec. 14).

Dubbed “the most successful dating show in the world,” Farmer Wants a Wife has previously aired around the world in 32 countries and has resulted in 180 marriages and 410 children.
Farmer Wants a Wife is produced by Eureka Productions. Paul Franklin (Holey Moley, Name That Tune), Chris Culvenor (The Mole, The Real Dirty Dancing, Dating Around), Eden Gaha (MasterChef, The Real Love Boat) and David Tibballs (The Mole, Finding Magic Mike) serve as executive producers, with David Emery as executive producer in post. Lauren Taylor Harding serves as an executive producer and the showrunner of the series.
Jennifer Nettles is no stranger to TV as she’s previously appeared in several series, including The Righteous Gemstones, Puppy Dog Pals, The Launch, and Underground. She also currently serves as a judge on Go-Big Show.

The country star has also appeared in a few movies such as Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love and Harriet.
Nettles also made her debut on Broadway in 2015 in the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking musical, Chicago. She also starred as Donna in the Hollywood Bowl’s summer production of Mamma Mia!, as well as most recently starring as Jenna in the smash hit musical Waitress.
The “Stay” singer is currently developing a musical of her own about 17th Century Crusading Poisoner Giulia Tofana.
Additionally, Nettles has quite a successful career in Country music as part of the award-winning duo, Sugarland. The duo is most well known for their Platinum, chart-topping hit “Stay,” which earned the pair two GRAMMY Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. Nettles earned another Grammy for her collaboration with Bon Jovi on “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.”
In addition to being a part of Sugarland, Nettle has released several solo projects, including Playing With Fire, To Celebrate Christmas and most recently an EP, I Can Do Hard Things, in 2019.
Nettles other achievements in music include five ASCAP awards, three ACM Awards, a CMA Award, the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally for Equality Award and the Artist Impact Award from Lincoln Center.
