Jelly Roll bid farewell to his mullet and has undergone a total hair transformation!

Luckily, the 38-year-old genre-bending star, whose real name is Jason DeFord, documented each step of the monumental moment. He later took to social media on Friday (June 30) to reveal his new haircut with fans.

“I can’t believe I did this to be honest – did I make a mistake?” the “Son Of A Sinner” singer captioned the clip on Instagram.

“You ever woke up and just felt like ‘fu** it’? That’s exactly how I woke up feeling like this morning,” Jelly Roll says, narrating the brief clip before asking his barber, who is seen setting up his equipment in the video, “are you ready to cut this shit off or what?”

“We’re going all the way off though,” the Nashville native adds.

Jelly Roll later asks his wife, Bunnie XO, who he dubbed “hair hater number one,” if she was “excited” that he was cutting off his hair.

“Bro, me and about five thousand other women,” she replies. “All the ladies are in my comments talking about how beautiful you look with your haircut so I’m so excited.”

As his barber sprays his hair with water to prepare for his haircut, Jelly Roll admits, “you can clearly see it in my face right now that I am second guessing this decision. I mean, as soon as he started spraying that hair down.”

Bunnie XO later joins the barber and playfully snips off a few locks.

“Did I F**k Up?”

Jelly Roll proceeds to tilt his head, attempting to make an adjustment to his lengthy locks, only to realize that his head was now shaved, and his beloved curly mullet was no longer present.

“That was weird. I just went to flip my hair and it wasn’t there,” he says with a laugh. “I keep reaching back and I’m so used to twiddlin’ it.”

“Did I f**k up?” he questions.

In a state of disbelief he admits, “I can’t believe I cut my curls. And this clip is about acceptance. You can see that I have accepted it and there’s nothing I can do.”

The clip concludes with the big reveal of his new look.

“Alright y’all I did it man, I did it dude. Everybody let me know what you think. Leave a comment, tell me the truth,” he says, while showing his followers his fresh cut in his bathroom mirror.

His post raked in thousands of reactions, including one from Miranda Lambert, who commented, “Freshy.”
