When his Backroad Baptism Tour rolled through Rogers, Arkansas earlier this week, Jelly Roll used his morning off to pay a visit to the local Walmart to purchase his latest album. He documented his visit to the store in a hilarious video and shared it with fans.

“Went to Walmart today in the home of Walmart and found redemption lol,” he captioned the post, referencing the time he went to Walmart on his album release day and it was nowhere to be found. “This is awesome. I grew up dreaming of Walmart having my music in it,” he continued.

Watch Jelly Roll Go On An Adventure To Find His Album In Walmart

The clip begins with a selfie-style video where Jelly Roll greets his followers and explains what he’s about to do.

“I just woke up in Rogers, Arkansas, and I realized that we are playing the Walmart Amphitheatre, which made me think about Walmart and how the last time that we went they didn’t have any of my Vinyls [and] I was like ‘damn, I wonder if they have a Walmart in Rogers, Arkansas, since this is the Walmart Amphitheatre.’ I did a little bit of research and guess what I found out, y’all ready for this? Rogers, Arkansas is the home of Walmart,” he says. “We are going to goto a Walmart in the home of Walmart.”

Next, the clip cuts to Walmart where Jelly Roll is seen walking in the store, heading straight to the back of the store.

His voice can be heard narrating as he says, “Ooooh, we are here baby and you can tell I am excited. Look at that, you see my little waddle? I’m waddling, I’m all fired up!”

A Ton Of WHITSITT CHAPEL Vinyl Records On The Shelf

After being distracted by Halloween decorations, he makes his way to the electronics department of Walmart on a hunt to find his new album on Vinyl.

As he approaches the department, he spots an entire end cap full of WHITSITT CHAPEL Vinyl records.

“That’s what I’m talking about baby! YES! That’s what I’m talking about!” he shouts.

He then adds, “you all can’t tell it right now, but I’m a pig in poop.”

“This Is A Really Big Deal”

Much to Jelly Roll’s surprise, the store also carried WHITSITT CHAPEL CDs.

“They don’t only have the Vinyl, but they have the album too baby,” he shouts.

The excitement didn’t stop there, as he turns the corner into the aisle that hosts Vinyl records and notices a slew of them on the shelf.

“I walked around the corner and they had more f***ing Jelly Roll vinyls… It was so good. This is crazy! You can tell how excited I really am. This is really a big deal to be in Walmart y’all. This is a really big deal for a kid like me,” he admits.

Spent Some Time With Fans

Fans were quick to spot Jelly Roll shopping and the genre-bending star stopped to chat and take photos with them.

“This is a big difference y’all. When I went to Walmart to buy my album last time nobody knew me and they didn’t have one there,” he says laughing.

“I went to Walmart in Nashville the day it came out and I was so excited because it was my first album in Walmart and they didn’t have one and it broke my f***ing heart. What was even worse was not a single soul in the Walmart knew me. Not one person stopped to talk to me, I was like ‘oh f**k my album must be doing bad.’  Listen y’all I can’t describe how cool this moment was…”

The clip concludes with Jelly Roll purchasing a vinyl and CD.

New Album, WHITSITT CHAPEL

WHITSITT CHAPEL arrived on June 2 and debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Country Album Chart and in the Top 3 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart with 90,000 album equivalents.
