Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie XO, have enjoyed wedded bliss since tying the knot in the fall of 2016. Now, seven years later, they plan on renewing their vows in the same place where they said their “I Do’s.”
While recently appearing on The Bobby Bones Show, Jelly Roll confirmed his plans to relive his wedding day with Bunnie XO. He also revealed that while he and Bunnie XO have decided to return to the chapel where they first exchanged nuptials, they don’t actually know the exact date of their wedding anniversary.
“So, we’ve got one of those old stories that we don’t know our anniversary. And this is why. I had asked her at the Tin Roof, here in Nashville, to marry me. And one night, we were in there drinking, and we were talking about it. I was like, ‘We should just do it.’ She was like, ‘I’m in,’” Jelly Roll told the show’s host Bobby Bones. “I mean, it was a little more drunkenly romantic.”

The “NEED A FAVOR” singer then shared that he asked for Bunnie XO’s hand in marriage a second time – this time in Las Vegas during a Yelawolf/Deftones concert. She, of course, said “yes,” and the two made their way to a courthouse to make their spousal arrangements.
“We went down to Vegas, and we were out there, and they had a show. Yelawolf had a show with the Deftones, and Yelawolf was like, ‘What are you doing tonight?’ I was like, I’m gonna go to the courthouse after this and get married. I’m just kind of nudging him. He’s like, ‘Are you serious?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘Come out on stage and say it,’” Jelly Roll said, describing the night he got down on one knee ahead of the ceremony. “So I brought Bunnie out on stage at the joint in Las Vegas, which is now The Theater At The Virgin Hotel, and asked her if she would marry me that night. And she said, ‘Yeah.’”
“We got straight off that stage, didn’t even watch the rest of the Yelawolf set or the Deftones,” he continued. “[We] got straight in the car, and went and found a courthouse and did it right then. We went to the little chapel. We got married by a little lady that looked like a hobbit. And because we got married at one o’clock in the morning, they let us pick our anniversary. So we don’t really know what day we actually got married on.”
To Renew Their Vows On September 1
Despite not knowing the accurate date on which they tied the knot, Jelly Roll shares that the upcoming renewal of his and Bunnie XO’s vows will mark their new and official wedding anniversary date.
“This year, we will play Vegas on our anniversary, somewhere between August 30th and September 1st. So when I play Vegas that night, we’re going to leave the show, go straight back to the little chapel we got married at, and do it again,” Jelly Roll said. “And this way, we’re going to have a real date. It’s going to be September 1st.”
Although the husband and wife have remained pretty tight-lipped about their second wedding ceremony, Bunnie XO previously took to her Instagram stories to request help in searching for the perfect dress to suit her style for the big day.
“J & I are doing vow renewals this year!” she told followers. “I’m going to wear a real wedding dress since I didn’t the first time we got married in that little chapel in Vegas. I’m having the hardest time finding an all-nude-colored wedding dress. I know some of my bride-savvy mamas out there know some designers or websites I can look on for one! Helpppppp, weddings are not my thing, haha.”
How Did Jelly Roll And Bunnie XO Meet?
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO met in 2015 in Sin City’s Country Saloon during one of the Antioch, Tenn., native’s concerts. At the time, Bunnie XO wasn’t familiar with Jelly Roll as he had not yet been discovered. Despite not knowing each other right off the bat, the two locked eyes and sparked a connection.
“We hit it off. She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room,” Jelly Roll previously told Taste of Country.
Jelly Roll is headlining his 44-date Backroad Baptism Tour, set to conclude on Saturday (October 14), in Tampa, Florida, at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre.
