Jason Aldean has been immortalized in his hometown with a new mural in Macon, Georgia.
Dubbed “Macon Greatest,” the mural features a hand-painted portrait of Aldean alongside other hometown heroes such as Otis Redding.
According to social media posts, the mural is located on the side of a Dollar General in the South Plaza Shopping Center on 3824 Pio Nono Ave in Macon, Georgia.
The country superstar has yet to react to the mural in his hometown.
Aldean’s hometown previously honored the “That’s What Tequila Does” singer when he released his double album, aptly named after “The Heart Of Georgia,” in April of 2022.
Visit Macon celebrated the release of the 30-song project, Macon, Georgia, with special merchandise. Aaron Buzza, the VP of Development for Visit Macon, said that the album further solidifies Macon’s long-standing music history.
“Macon’s music history is absolutely fantastic and so recognizable, every time he releases a new album it continues that story we have of terrific music from fantastic musicians,” Buzza said of Aldean’s album.
Upon releasing the project, which serves as a tribute to his hometown, Aldean shared why the album is so special to him.
“It all started there,” Aldean recalled. “That’s where I learned to play guitar and where I learned to sing and where I played bars for the first time. It was just kind of where I learned to be a musician. It’s just where it all started for me. It was me kind of paying tribute to where it all started from.”
Aldean kicked off his 34-city Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour on July 15 in Scranton, PA.
The trek currently runs through October 29, 2022, and features support from Gabby Barrett, Dee Jay Silver, John Morgan, Chase Rice, Tracy Lawrence and Travis Tritt on select dates.
