Jason Aldean reunited a military family during his pre-show VIP experience at a recent concert on his headlining Highway Desperado Tour. The country superstar helped Navy First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling and his wife, Brittney, surprise their two children with an unforgettable homecoming on Saturday (Aug. 19) ahead of Aldean’s headlining concert at Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, Minnesota.

Watch The Emotional Homecoming

Luckily, a videographer captured the emotional moment and Jason Aldean shared it on social media. “After a 10 month deployment, First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling is back home with his family!” Aldean captioned the video on Instagram. “Thanks to his wife Brittney for letting us be in on the surprise. Welcome home! 🦅🇺🇸”

The video features the moment Aldean first met Darling and his wife backstage and continues to document the surprise homecoming moment, where First Class Petty Officer, Blake Darling, reunited with his son and daughter.

“I know your dad is in the military… We got the story and thought we’d give you a little surprise today. So if that’s cool with you guys, can we do that?” Aldean asked the two the young children, to which they happily obliged, without knowing that their parents were in on the surprise.

“Alright, cool,” Aldean replied. “So you guys ready?” he added before the two kids’ father, First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling, entered the room from backstage after nearly a year-long deployment. The moment brought the two children to tears as they embraced their father in a hug and their mom watched from the side with a big smile on her face.

“First Class Petty Officer, Blake Darling, right here everybody!” Aldean said into his microphone as the VIP-only audience cheered.
