Jake Hoot shared the third teaser clip of his forthcoming emotion-filled duet “I Would’ve Loved You,” a powerful song that features Hoot’s coach from his triumphant season of The Voice, Kelly Clarkson.

On Friday (Jan. 22), Hoot shared a third clip of Clarkson’s verse in their duet before he joined her to sing a flawless harmonized bit of the new song, captioning the clip, “you asked for it, so here it is… teaser #3!!! I don’t wanna beat a dead horse, but I am beyond elated to release this new video and song with the one and only Kelly Clarkson.”

“You gave one night to some nobody / after I gave you all of me / You should have known when it comes to me / nothing’s ever temporary,” Clarkson sings before Hoot joins her in harmony to sing “I’ve never meant it more than I do now / This feelin’ is gonna make it.”

Hear the new snippet of the track below.

Hoot previously shared the chorus in a teaser clip, which you can view below.

“More than forever, always, madly / the deepest, unforgettable / With all that I am / with my heart wide open / for the rest of my life I promise you / I’m gonna hate you as long and as much as I woulda loved you/ And I woulda loved you,” sings Hoot and Clarkson in the new teaser.

The song has been stuck in our heads since it’s debut teaser and we know it’s destined to become a smash hit upon its release.

“I Would’ve Loved You” was co-written by Hoot alongside Dean Sams (Lonestar) and Jamie Floyd. Once he wrote the song, he immediately knew that Clarkson would be the perfect pairing for the collaboration.

“I Would’ve Loved You is a song about how the choices we make and the consequences that follow,” Hoot explained of the collaboration. “It is a story about someone who has so much love to give, but due to the other person’s decisions, that love turns into a hate that lasts forever. I am so honored to have written this song with Jamie Floyd and Dean Sams, who are both incredible writers. I am beyond thankful to Kelly Clarkson for believing in me and recording this song with me! Can’t wait for y’all to hear it!“

Hoot and Clarkson also filmed a music video for the forthcoming new song that is set for release in early February.

The duet will serve as the lead single on Hoot’s forthcoming new EP, Love Out Of Time, which is available for pre-order now and will be released on January 27.
