Jake Hoot And Kelly Clarkson To Perform “I Would’ve Loved You” Live For The First-Time Ever On ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’

Jake Hoot and Kelly Clarkson will give the live debut performance of their heart-wrenching duet “I Would’ve Loved You” on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Music Mayhem can exclusively confirm.

The upcoming “I Would’ve Loved You” performance will serve as Hoot and Clarkson’s live full band debut televised performance. Hoot will also appear in an extensive interview segment with Clarkson during the show.

“Kelly continues to be such a major mentor and cheerleader in my life and career,” Hoot explained ahead of his Kelly Clarkson Show appearance. “Pumped that we finally got to sing “I Would’ve Loved You” live and can’t wait for everyone to see it on her show!”

Hoot and his coach from his triumphant season of The Voice, released their emotion-filled duet on Wednesday, January 27. “I Would’ve Loved You” is a track from the rising star’s EP, Love Out Of Time, which is available now HERE. The superstar pair recently released the music video for the track and you can watch it below.

“I Would’ve Loved You” was co-written by Hoot alongside Dean Sams (Lonestar) and Jamie Floyd. Once he wrote the song, he immediately knew that Clarkson would be the perfect pairing for the collaboration.

“I Would’ve Loved You is a song about how the choices we make and the consequences that follow,” Hoot explained of the collaboration. “It is a story about someone who has so much love to give, but due to the other person’s decisions, that love turns into a hate that lasts forever. I am so honored to have written this song with Jamie Floyd and Dean Sams, who are both incredible writers. I am beyond thankful to Kelly Clarkson for believing in me and recording this song with me! Can’t wait for y’all to hear it!“

Hoot previously appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in early 2020 to perform his original song “Better Off Without You.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show featuring Jake Hoot will air on Wednesday, March 31.
