American Idol alum HunterGirl sang a duet with Rascal Flatts’ member Gary LeVox this weekend at the Nashville Superspeedway. The pair joined forces on the band’s song, “Riot,” which HunterGirl used as her audition song for Idol this season.

LeVox posted the video of he and the “Red Bird” singer harmonizing on “Riot” while backstage at the speedway to his TikTok account, also later sharing it to Instagram.

“We made it happen! @huntergirlmusic,” LeVox captioned the post, adding a 🙏 emoji.

The “Red Bird” singer also shared a clip of she and LeVox singing the song together on her Instagram page, writing, “Ladies and Gentlemen, THE LEGEND Gary Levox! This was the coolest moment ever!!”

The Idol alum and LeVox’s performance was interrupted by Justin Danger Nunley of Black Rifle Coffee Company, who shared a fun fact about cats, prompting the pair to laugh.

Justin Danger Nunley with his classic trademark interruption. 😂 I will remember this forever. Love y’all!,” HunterGirl continued in the caption of the post.

In a subsequent video, HunterGirl and Nunley rode in a NASCAR race car and Nunley asked her to sing a song while they were driving 100 miles per hour. The Idol alum responded by singing a few bars of Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take The Wheel.”

After their little joyride, Nunley asked HunterGirl what it was like to be inside a vehicle going over 100 miles per hour. “It was the most exhilarating and scary moment of my life,” she said.

HunterGirl played the Nashville Super Speedway in Lebanon, Tennessee on Jun. 24. The speedway hosted the Ally 400 on Sunday.

The Speedway is closely connected to Speedway Children’s Charities which raises money for children facing learning disabilities, broken homes, and childhood cancers.

“Thank you Speedway Children’s Charities and Nashville SuperSpeedway for giving myself and @huntergirlmusic a really cool experience!,” Nunley said of the video of he and the Idol alum riding in the NASCAR race car.

HunterGirl expressed a similar sentiment, saying the opportunity to play the speedway was a “blast.”

In addition to singing Rascal Flatts’ song, “Riot” as her Idol audition song, HunterGirl also performed the band’s tune, “Banjo” at the Disney Aulani Resort on this past season of the show.
