HARDY is taking the country music scene by storm with his latest single, “Wait In The Truck,” a collaboration with Lainey Wilson, which is the most-added track at country radio, securing 57 first week stations.

The Big Loud heavy hitter celebrated the news in a press release earlier this month.

“Thank you to country radio for supporting a song that means so much to me,” said HARDY in a press release. “I’m grateful to the fans for the response already to this song, it truly means everything. I can’t wait to hear it on the radio.”

Upon hearing the news for the first time, HARDY took to social media to share a video message with fans.

“Country radio, you guys are freaking incredible,” the country hitmaker said in the clip. “Thank you so much to the ones that added this song. Amazing. No. 1 most-added. Incredible. Thank you guys. I’m very, very excited about this song… just excited to see the run it’s gonna have, to see the impact it’s going to have on people’s lives, and a lot of that has to do with you guys, so thank you very much. And I’m excited to see y’all out there.”

Co-written by HARDY alongside Hunter Phelps, Jordan Schmidt, and Renee Blair, “Wait In The Truck” finds the Mississippi native painting a very realistic picture of a scenario in which a woman has experienced physical abuse at the hands of a violent man. Stranded and “scared to death,” she finds protection through an unexpected stranger (played by HARDY). Instead of drilling the victim with questions, HARDY quickly sees the woman’s pain and passionately becomes motivated to help her find justice.

The tune was produced by Joey Moi and co-produced by HARDY, Derek Wells and Schmidt.

HARDY’s momentum continued as “Wait In The Truck” surpassed expectations with its debut weekend numbers. The track secured more than 2.5 million streams during its opening weekend, hitting number one on iTunes, making the Top 20 on Spotify Country and Top 25 on Apple Music Country. The single also earned early support from SiriusXM’s The Highway.

In addition to releasing “Wait In The Truck,” HARDY and Wilson also shared a conceptualized music video for the track, which is currently trending in YouTube’s Top 20.

The goosebumps-inducing video flawlessly follows the storyline of the powerful song. In the clip, HARDY plays the character of an unexpected stranger who is out to find justice for Wilson, who portrays a domestic abuse victim.

Throughout the cinematic clip, directed by Justin Clough and filmed in Carthage, Tennessee, viewers can watch as the lyrics of the song come to life. As the clip concludes, Wilson graciously thanks HARDY, who is behind bars, for saving her from her abuser.

HARDY’s just-announced December headline Wall to Wall Tour went on-sale last Friday, creating even more buzz around the country rocker. The trek, which also features support from Jackson Dean and Puddle Of Mudd for one date, immediately sold out across all dates. The quick sell out prompted the chart-topping singer to add on two additional shows to the already extended tour. The newly-added dates sold out immediately, breaking venue records for Charlotte’s Coyote Joe’s and Greenville, S.C.’s Blind Horse Saloon.

“Absolutely amazing, a new house record in both venues: the quickest consecutive sellouts and the only artist in both venues’ 30-year history to sell out three consecutive dates,” shared Alan Presley, owner of Coyote Joe’s and the Blind Horse Saloon.
