Previous Wife Mary Jane Thomas Passed Away In 2022

The news of the couple’s wedding comes after the 2022 death of Hank Williams Jr.’s wife, Mary Jane Thomas, who passed away on March 22, 2022.

Her unexpected death was caused by a collapsed lung that occurred during an elective surgery that took place the day before her passing. The official autopsy lists Mary Jane Thomas’ cause of death as “pneumothorax due to perforated parietal pleura during liposuction with autologous fat reinjection procedure.”

Opening The Boogie Bar In Nashville

Additionally, later this fall, the country music icon will be honored in Nashville with the opening of the Hank Williams Jr.-themed bar, dubbed Hank Williams Jr.’s Boogie Bar.

Coming to Nashville’s Lower Broadway this fall, the three-level and rooftop establishment will lie between the Ernest Tubb Record Shop and AJ’s Good Time Bar at 419 Broadway, according to a report from the Nashville Business Journal.

Hank Williams Jr.’s Boogie Bar is named in honor of the Country Music Hall of Famer’s chart-topping hit, “Born to Boogie.” Released in 1987, the song served as the lead single of Hank Williams Jr.’s 1987 album of the same name.
