Gwen Stefani Praised Blake Shelton

The event included a special speech by Stefani, who praised her husband as an artist, entertainer, and a human being.

As Shelton and her sons watched on, Stefani said, “It blows my mind to be here today standing on the Hollywood Walk of fame, celebrating my husband, by the way, Blake Shelton. You are so deserving of this honor, and the boys and I and all of your family, your friends, your colleagues could not be more proud.”

She went on to praise the country superstar for always staying true to himself.

“Blake has always stayed true to himself. There is nobody like him. He is a one-of-a-kind guy, and the audience has all fall in love with him. He’s humble, he’s genuine, and trust me, wherever we go, everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton,” Stefani gushed.

“You Are A Rare Human”

“Blake, you are a rare human being and for all the success that you have had in your life as a singer, a songwriter, a musician, a performer, an entertainer, an actor, a comedian, an entrepreneur he’s the same guy today as he was back then,” she added. “A country guy with a love for country music. He’s magnetic. The most generous person you’ll ever know, and always just him no matter where he goes making people happy, laugh, making jokes, and always playing jokes.”

Stefani closed her speech with a powerful statement in honor of her husband.

“The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream, and everybody knows you are my dream come true.”

“This Is Shocking To Me That This Even Happened”

Shelton took to the podium on Hollywood Boulevard to accept the prestigious honor.

“This is shocking to me that this even happened,” Shelton admitted. ”It was just never on my radar. I had a dream of being a country singer and hearing myself on the radio one day, and I never, ever thought that that path would lead me here.”

Despite all of his achievements as a singer, songwriter and television personality, Shelton admitted that that meeting Stefani tops the list for him.

“I kind of stopped checking things off my list of accomplishments, great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen and so this is just icing on the cake. But I love you so much and that’s the greatest thing that’s happened along this journey,” Shelton declared.

Dedicated Hollywood Walk of Fame Star To His Late Brother Richie

Blake Shelton concluded his speech by dedicating his Hollywood Walk of Fame star to his late brother, Richie Shelton, who passed away in a tragic car accident in November of 1990.

“I was talking to my family, who is all here by the way, from Oklahoma, and I was talking to my mom this morning and I was thinking about what I’m going to say when I get up and she said to me, she goes, I wish Richie could have been here to see this and everything that you’ve done,” Shelton continued. ”And I feel like that’s probably the best way to wrap this up. Richie was my brother that I lost many, many years ago. So I dedicate my star on this walk of fame to my brother Richie.”

Later, Shelton took to social media to share photos from the milestone career moment with a sweet message.

“I dedicated this star to my brother Richie who I wish was here to celebrate this with. There are so many people to say thank you to for yesterday…  My family, my team, NBC and The Voice, the fans… it’s really special to get to share this with you all. Cheers!!!”

One Of The Biggest Country Stars

One of country music’s biggest stars, Blake Shelton is a 10-time CMA Award winner and has dozens of other awards, including American Music Awards, ACM Awards, CMT Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and more.

Over the course of his illustrious career, Shelton has earned 28 chart-topping singles and raked in an impressive 11 billion global streams. To date, the Oklahoma native has sold more than 13 million albums and 52 million singles.

His latest single, “No Body,” was released in 2022 and follows the “Come Back as a Country Boy,” from his 2021 Body Language album. The project also included “Happy Anywhere” with Stefani. The Voice

In addition to a successful musical career, Shelton has also made a name for himself on the small screen and became a household name thanks to his time on The Voice.

Since the inception of NBC’s The Voice in 2011, Shelton has served as a coach and has mentored nine champions, including Chloe Kohanski, Sundance Head, Craig Wayne Boyd, Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope, Jermaine Paul, Todd Tilghman, Cam Anthony and Bryce Leatherwood.

Season 23 will mark Shelton’s final season on the popular singing competition show.

Blake Shelton also stars in and co-produces a new celebrity game show, Barmageddon, which airs on USA Network and was recently renewed for a second season, which is currently being filmed at the Nashville location of Shelton popular bar, Ole Red.

In partnership with Ryman Hospitality, Blake Shelton has opened several Ole Red locations in addition to the Nashville location. The first Ole Red opened in 2017 in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Ole Red locations are now open at the Nashville Airport and Gatlinburg, as well as in Orlando, Florida. They also recently broke ground on a new location in Las Vegas.

A Humanitarian

Blake Shelton is also a philanthropist and has helped raise millions of dollars for children’s hospitals, disaster relief organizations, food banks, and more in his home state of Oklahoma and throughout the entire country.

Following his final season on The Voice, Shelton hoped to enjoy some downtime, however, his other projects, like Ole Red and Barmageddon, will keep him busy.

“I thought I was getting away from The Voice so that I would have more free time, but you’re making me feel like maybe not,” he said recently.

After wrapping his Back To The Honky Tonk tour earlier this year, Shelton hopes to model his upcoming touring places after those of his musical hero, George Strait.

“George Strait is my hero on lots of different levels, one of which is how little he tours. And it’s like, I want to do everything like George Strait,” he quipped.

Currently, the “Austin” singer has only a handful of dates on the books for the remainder of 2023. He’s scheduled to appear at Barefoot Country Fest on June 16 as well as a number of other festivals through the end of the year.
