Gwen Stefani apologized to her husband Blake Shelton after forgetting to wear her wedding ring while appearing on a late night talk show.
The No Doubt singer and mother of three recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, March 24. While chatting with Kimmel on the show, the “Just A Girl” singer, 52, realized she didn’t have her wedding ring on and after noticing she quickly issued an apology to her husband, Shelton.
During her interview with Kimmel, Stefani told the show’s host, “I forgot to wear my ring,” while showing off her other jewelry. “It’s like the first time! I thought, ‘OK, I’m going to put it in the jewelry cleaner, so Jimmy [Kimmel] sees how sparkly and amazing my ring is.’ And boop then hello empty finger.”
“I’m so embarrassed!” Stefani said while laughing in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, Blakey. I love my husband, and I love being married to him. It’s just the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, so here we are.”
Kimmel then asked Stefani if her husband ever forgets to wear his ring, which she quickly replied, “No.”
During the interview, Stefani also talked about married life, writing their own vows, Carson Daly officiating their wedding, adopting a lot of Shelton’s style, playing at the Houston rodeo, and her new makeup line, GXVE.
After six years together, country superstar, Shelton, and Stefani, exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in front of their closest family and friends on July 3. The elegant Carson Daly-officiated ceremony took place inside a chapel on Shelton’s ranch, built exclusively for the superstar couple to say their “I Do’s.”
Shelton and Stefani got engaged back in late October 2020 in Shelton’s hometown of Oklahoma. They first met as coaches on NBC’s The Voice in 2014, following both of their public breakups. The superstar couple began dating in November 2015, just a year after working together as coaches on The Voice.
The couple has gone on to release four duets together throughout their relationship thus far, including “Nobody But You,” “Happy Anywhere” and more.
