The “King of Country Music” and eleven-time GRAMMY winner shared the exciting news with fans on Wednesday morning (Feb. 12), announcing the addition of five new shows to their 2025 touring schedule.

“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have,” Strait, who has more No. 1 songs than any other artist in history, said in a statement. “Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year. Chris [Stapleton] will be back and glad to have Little Big Town with us in LA. For the other cities, we’ve added Parker [McCollum] to the show which will be outstanding. Can’t wait to see you!!”

“I love George’s shows. There’s nothing to compare it to,” Stapleton previously shared of Strait. “I love doing these shows with George probably more than anything. It’s really fun. It feels like a good thing all the way around. And, when the fans are winning, we’re winning.”

Parker McCollum will join Strait and Stapleton as a special guest on the East Coast shows in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Foxborough, while Little Big Town will accompany the two country music legends for the West Coast date at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Record-Breaking Concerts

Last year, Strait solidified his title as the “King of Country Music” when his show George Strait: The King at Kyle Field set the record for the largest single-ticketed concert in U.S. history, with 110,905 fans in attendance. This record-breaking performance also marked the highest attendance for a single event at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field. That show was one of only 10 live performances Strait held last year, with another being a stop at Allegiant Stadium for his 37th Strait to Vegas concert.

These just-announced shows follow the record-breaking success of George Strait and Chris Stapleton’s previous shows together, which began with a one-night-only concert at Kansas City’s GEHA Field in 2022. Since then the pair of country superstars joined forces for select stadium shows two years in a row — eight in 2023 and nine in 2024. Strait and Stapleton have entertained over a dozen unforgettable stadium concerts together. Now, in 2025 they are reuniting for five more stadium concerts, visiting both the East and West Coasts.

Since Strait’s Cowboy Rides Away Tour, which was originally expected to be his final tour in 2014, the country music legend has taken on limited engagements, including his long-running Strait to Vegas concert series at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. He has also made a few appearances at the iconic RODEOHOUSTON, award shows, and other notable events.
