Gabby Barrett performed her chart-topping smash hit “I Hope” during Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2021 on Thursday (Dec. 31).

The country superstar was joined by her full band including her husband Cade Foehner on guitar during the pre-recorded performance. Barrett’s performance on FOX New Year’s Eve special was in partnership with iHeartRadio.

Barrett is due to give birth to her first child, a baby girl, sometime in January 2021.

“I Hope” appears on Barrett’s record-breaking debut album, Goldmine.

Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2021 also featured performances from Green Day, LeAnn Rimes, John Legend, Ava Max and more. As well as special celebrity appearances by Cheyenne Jackson, Jane Krakowski, Leslie Jordan, Mayim Bialik, Morris Chestnut, Randy Jackson, Tim Allen and Tom Payne.

Hosted by Ken Jeong and Joel McHale, The New Year’s Eve special aired live from Los Angeles on Thursday, December 31 (live 8:00-10:00 PM ET/CT live MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Following a break for the local news broadcast, the special returned from 11:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. EST (CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) for the iconic ball drop.

The show was produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment with some performances in collaboration with iHeartRadio. Carol Donovan served as the executive producer. This is the first year that FOX’s New Year’s Eve special was produced entirely by FOX Alternative Entertainment.
