Today, Country music powerhouse Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner shared kind words to each other through social media, in celebration of their 2nd wedding anniversary.

Foehner and Barrett first met in 2018, when they were both contestants on the 16th season of American Idol. Although neither was crowned winner of the competition, they both made it to the top 5, which was when Foehner was eliminated and Barrett went on to finish third. Their young love bloomed fairly early on in the show and because of their similar beliefs and family values, they stayed strong throughout and even after the competition was over.

Within the next year, they were engaged and preparing for their wedding in Garrison, Texas on Oct. 5 of that same year. Now, two years later, the happy couple can celebrate with the newest member of their family, their daughter Baylah May Foehner.

In Barrett’s Instagram post, she is seen next to her husband as he holds their little girl, with a blurred out face for her privacy. All three members of their family are standing in front of a bright, colorful backdrop in the photo.

With her short and sweet caption, Barrett said, “Happy 2nd Anniversary my love. You are my rock. You are my number 1 always.”

Foehner shared a stunning photo of him and his wife at their wedding. The couple is seen dancing under white curtains and bright lights strung across the venue with the words, “because He first loved us,” written on a sign above them. In his caption, he sang praises to Barrett and the life they have created together.

“‘My Wife, my life’ is a phrase I often repeat in my head,” he began. “I don’t know when I started saying it nor where it came from, but I do know it is true. It is true that you are my wife and by necessity you are my life. I cannot help but be enthralled by you. I watched you grow from a young girl, to a young adult, to a wife and now to a mother in just a matter of a few years. What I can say is that I am amazed by you. I am grateful for your wise council, your humor and most of all your love for Jesus Christ our Lord. This has shone brightest in the midst of suffering and heartache.”

He continued, “I am grateful for these past two years with you. Oh! May our Lord grant us to grey hairs and many grandchildren.”

Outside of their parenting duties, the couple also works together on and off the stage, writing and performing together. Barrett is often seen with Foehner by her side playing the guitar while she sings to the crowd.

In a previous post, announcing that Barrett would accompany Thomas Rhett on his Center Point Road tour, Foehner said, “we’re a road family now,” as the three of them prepared for their next adventure together. Barrett’s time on the road for this tour will come to an end soon, but these parents aren’t showing any signs of slowing down just yet.
