Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) will bring music, star power, and powerful stories of hope to Nashville for the first time during its ninth televised fundraising special, hosted by Sheryl Crow.

Hosted by GRAMMY Award-winning country superstar Sheryl Crow, the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special will feature performances from Crow, the Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay and CeCe Winans, joined by Nashville Community Gospel Choir.

Ahead of the TV special, Stand Up To Cancer co-founder Katie Couric shared what it means to her that these artists contribute their time and talent to support the cause.

“We’ve had so many incredibly talented people joining us through the years and of course they donate their time and talent and energy and time off to do this,” Couric told Music Mayhem. “And I am beyond grateful. They give us some star power that attracts more attention, makes people watch and listen to the message. And so I’m just so appreciative that they keep coming out, and many of them have been affected by cancer. So I think for them, it’s profoundly personal as well. It’s not just, oh, I’m doing this charity concert. They’re doing it for their mothers and fathers and loved ones and siblings and aunts who have been impacted by this disease. So it’s very special to see both that personal and philanthropic gift that they’re giving us.”

How To Watch?

Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) will present its ninth biennial one-hour, commercial-free special on Friday, August 15, at 8 p.m. ET/PT / 7 p.m. CT, airing simultaneously on more than 30 participating media platforms (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) across the U.S. All four major broadcast networks will carry the program, donating prime-time slots to support the cause.

The telecast will also be available on-demand across various digital and streaming platforms, offering broad and flexible access to this one-night-only event.

Who’s Performing?

The Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special will deliver a memorable night of music and celebrity moments in support of groundbreaking cancer research.

Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay and CeCe Winans, joined by Nashville Community Gospel Choir, will take to the stage for performances throughout the one-hour TV special.

“I’m really honored to be part of this event. It’s really beautiful work that they’re doing,” Marcus King shared on the red carpet. “My grandmothers on both sides of my family struggled with cancer. My grandmother, my Oma, she had breast cancer and she was the toughest woman. I know. And it’s an honor to be a part of something like this, raising awareness and raising money for a noble cause.”

Brothers Osborne then stated, “We’ve been very lucky and blessed with what our music careers have given us. So we need to give back. Everyone in our position, everyone in anyone’s position, you got to give back. But most importantly, our father is a cancer survivor. He just beat prostate cancer, and you can see the turmoil that can put someone through and their families through, and we want to make sure that people have the best shot that they can and help raise money and awareness for them.”

“Because it’s an important cause. I don’t think there’s any cause that’s more important than to fight against disease, to fight against pain, to fight against, should I say, to fight for life,” CeCe Winans added of why it was important for her to be part of the fundraising event.

Who’s Hosting?

GRAMMY Award-winner Sheryl Crow will host the one-hour fundraising special.

“I am so happy to be hosting. I mean, it’s kind of amazing because we’re in Nashville, which it hasn’t happened before,” Crow told Music Mayhem. “And to get to host something like this that’s so important to me and then know that I get to go home and sleep in my own bed is fantastic. But it’s a great night. I mean, great performers, great stories, great stories of hope, and just an incredible cause.”
