DMX in the Intensive Care Unit following drug overdose and heart attack.

The popular 50-year-old rapper was hospitalized on Friday, April 2 following a drug overdose that occurred at his New York home at 11PM, according to TMZ. The outlet also reported that “the overdose triggered a heart attack.”

The “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” singer was rushed to the hospital in White Plains, New York and is currently in the critical care unit. According to information obtained by TMZ sources, the rapper has “some brain activity” and is currently in a “vegetative state” and doctors are cautioning that he may not make it.

DMX has battled substance abuse for several years and has been in and out of rehab multiple times.
