Musical talent runs in the Lane family. Not only is Chris Lane a successful country artist, but his identical twin brother Cory Lane, who’s his full-time drummer on tour, is a singer, too.

Lane, who is currently on his Fill Them Boots Tour, brings his brother up on stage every night to perform his song, “Small Town On It.” Cory shared a clip of him performing the song at his brother’s recent stop in Georgia to Instagram.

“How’s he sound, y’all?” Lane asked the fans in attendance, prompting them to roar in response.

“Tan lines, Atlanta Braves, and Country Music,” the younger Lane captioned the performance clip.

“Weak,” Chris Lane commented, playfully taunting his twin brother.

Cory also joined his brother to perform the song during a previous stop on the tour in Rosemont, Illinois.

“This is your one chance to step up and do something right now,” Lane told his brother before Cory joined in and sang the second verse. “Small Town On It” was originally a collaboration between Lane, Scotty McCreery, and HARDY and appeared on HARDY’s Hixtape, Vol. 2.

Cory performed effortlessly, blending his vocal with his brother on the chorus.

“Y’all make some noise for Cory Lane,” Chris said at the conclusion of the performance.

But Cory hasn’t just joined his brother Chris on stage to sing his songs. Besides “Small Town On It,” “Red Dirt Road,” and “Let Me Love You,” the pair once teamed up on a cover of rapper T-Pain’s song, “Buy You A Drank (Shawty Snappin’).”

“Before I was Kenny, I was TEddy Pain!,” Cory wrote, sharing a video of the performance on social media and tagging the rapper in the caption.

Fans ate up the performance, with one replying, “I will literally buy tickets to the next @iamchrislane show in Texas just to watch this performance,” including multiple 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 emojis in her comment.

Prior to becoming a successful country artist, Lane and his twin brother Cory auditioned for season seven of American Idol as rappers. The pair made history as the show’s first contestants to be part of a love triangle, with their shared girlfriend at the time, Ashley, accompanying them to their audition.

Lane’s Fill Them Boots Tour concludes on Dec. 4 in Toronto, Ontario.
