Alan thought he was receiving a routine tour of the iconic venue when he was offered a spot in the September 21 lineup.
“You’re sure? I’ve got to hug you before you change your mind!” Alan joked in the video, adding “I’ve been waiting my whole freaking life for this!”
“The coolest thing that’s ever happened in my music career 😭 y’all made this happen!!!!” gushed Alan on TikToK with a video of the monumental moment.

“Making my Opry debut is something I’ve dreamed of my entire life. My heroes have all sung on that stage and I’m incredibly honored, humbled and grateful that it is my turn to step into that circle. A huge thank you to the Opry staff for believing in me and my amazing team for working so hard to help me get here!” says Alan.
The exciting offer was handed to Cooper by Jordan Pettit, the director of Artist Relations & Programming Strategy for the Grand Ole Opry.
“We have lots of respect for artists who go from playing bars to headlining their own tours, all while growing such an engaged and dedicated fan base. Because of that, we’re thrilled to welcome Cooper onto the Grand Ole Opry stage to make his debut,” said Pettit.
The budding star will join the lineup with acts including The Isaacs, Del McCoury Band, Priscilla Block, Steven Curtis Chapman and more. Fans can purchase tickets to see Cooper’s career altering debut now at Opry.com.
Known for his millions of devoted TikTok fans, the North Carolina native has evolved from a social media personality into a rising country star. Alan is currently on the road for “Cooped Up Fall Tour,” which he announced via a social media video.
“All because of y’all! Should we prove him right? Who’s coming?” the rising country star captioned the video on Instagram.
The 33-stop tour kicked off in Tacoma, Washington on September 2 and is set to wrap up on November 19 in Harrisburg, PA. Kyle Clark, Jordan Fletcher and David J are joining Alan for select dates.
“Kicking this tour off RIGHT! Love y’all ❤️” the singer/songwriter wrote on Instagram with a recap video of the first weekend of the tour.
Alan wrapped up his first headlining tour, “Cooped Up,” on June 4 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Fans also watched him grace the stage with Mitchell Tenpenny on June 23 in Central City, Iowa and with Walker Hayes on July 29 in Paris, Illinois.
“Will never get over this feeling 🥺 thank y’all! @curt_simshauser_photo_cinema,” Alan captioned an Instagram post from his headlining tour earlier this year.
