Country superstars Chris Young and Kane Brown performed their Top 10 and climbing collaboration “Famous Friends.”

On Thursday, May 27, Young and Brown performed the popular track during their appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, celebrating the class of 2021.

“We just wanted to give a congratulations to the 2021 graduates,” Brown said before Young added, “We’re doing our song ‘Famous Friends’ in honor of all of you and all your hometown friends.”

Watch their performance below.

Co-written by Young alongside Cary Barlowe and Corey Crowder during a 2018 headlining tour date in Tampa, “Famous Friends” is an autobiographical track that mentions the county Young grew up in Tennessee, Rutherford County, as well as Brown’s hometown of Hamilton County and Nashville’s Davidson County.

The track is a tribute to the people and their stories that make up both of their hometowns.

Additionally, the “Famous Friends” music video is nominated for Collaborative Video Of The Year at the 2021 CMT Music Awards. You can vote for the video HERE.
