Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane Stapleton have been touring night after night as part of the country superstar’s 2023 All-American Road Show Tour. And, over the weekend proved to be one of the more special stops on the trek as the couple took a moment out of their busy lifestyle to get to know a young fan named Lily, who requested a photo with them.

The exchange happened on Friday (July 14) night at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A young girl’s sign in the front row of the audience, reading the words ‘Will you take a picture with me’ spread across the front, caught Stapleton’s attention.

Taking the step to acknowledge her wish a little further, Chris Stapleton and Morgane invited the girl backstage, where they met with her face-to-face, shook hands, and shared some heartwarming conversation, turning the meeting into an unforgettable experience for the child.

“Did you make that sign?” Morgane asks the young fan in a clip posted on TikTok, to which Lily replies, “Yes” before holding out a guitar pick, which she received at the concert before the meet-and-greet.

“Yes! You did. I recognize that,” Morgane said, looking at the guitar pick. “Well. We saw your sign, and we said, ‘We’ve gotta do that.”

Stapleton, then, interrupts his wife to ask the girl if she’d like to take a photo together.

Although the video cuts out before the Stapletons snap a photo with their sweet fan, Lily’s grandmom has answered some burning questions and shared her enthusiasm over the moment after fans flooded the comments section.

“Chris seems like such a chill dude,” one person wrote.

“Him [and] Morgane both!!” The fan’s grandmom replied. “Such awesome people! It was just us [and[ the Stapletons. They chatted with us [for] a while. It was epic.”

“It was an honor to meet them with my family,” she added.

“Such down-to-earth people ❤️,” another TikTok user wrote to which the grandmom promised, “They really are! We had such a great conversation with them!!! More videos to come.”

“How did you meet him? Is there a backstory?” One follower asked.

“No backstory. They saw her with her sign that said ‘Will you take a picture with me?’” The grandmother confirmed.
