Chris Stapleton has an exciting new business venture.
The 45-year-old “Tennessee Whiskey” singer has teamed up with Lucchese Bootmaker to launch the Lucchese x Chris Stapleton collection, according to a recent press release. The custom boot collection will feature three unique styles, The Original, San Antonio, and Old Friend.
The Original is a replica of the pair of boots the country singer designed the first time he visited the Lucchese factory in El Paso, Texas and is characterized by a hand-corded moccasin toe. The San Antonio is made with brush-off Santini goat and features the brand’s signature Black Cherry finish and the Old Friend acts as the “songwriter’s uniform” with its supple suede leather.
“Refined It To An Art“
Stapleton praised Lucchese, noting how they’ve “refined [bootmaking] to an art.”
“I’m of the mind that everything can be refined to an art,” Stapleton said via the same press release, “and that’s what I love about Lucchese boots — they’ve taken bootmaking and refined it to an art.”
“Lucchese boots are what cowboy boots are supposed to be,” the “Tennessee Whiskey” singer added. “I can’t wait for people to try them on and find out what I already know: when you put a pair of these on, you don’t need anything else.”
Lucchese Bootmaker President Doug Lindy expressed a similar sentiment about the brand’s collaboration with Stapleton.
“Delighted To Welcome Chris Stapleton To The Lucchese Family”
“We are so delighted to welcome Chris Stapleton to the Lucchese family. If there was ever a relationship that was meant to be, Chris and Lucchese would be the one,” Kindy shared.
“Chris is at the top of his craft and continues to embody ingenuity, creativity, and soul throughout his illustrious career — all values we share and admire at Lucchese.”
“Lucchese has been hand-making boots and leather goods the American way for 140 years, and this is as proud as we’ve ever been,” he added. “We are proud, not only to call Chris a friend and to call ourselves fans, but also to have the unique opportunity to create a line of boots that honors Chris Stapleton, both personally and professionally.”
Outlaw State Of Kind
The partnership between Stapleton and Lucchese first began in 2018, according to the release. The Lucchese x Chris Stapleton collection can be purchased in-store at all Lucchese retail locations and via the brand’s official website.
A portion of the collection’s proceeds will benefit Outlaw State of Kind, a charity run by the country singer and his wife Morgane Stapleton.
In addition to the press release, Lucchese highlighted their partnership with Stapleton in a joint Instagram post featuring several photos of the country singer, including a few shots of him visiting the brand’s factory.
“Whether crafting a song or crafting a boot, it’s all about the artistry from the first sheet of leather to the first strum of a chord. Together, Lucchese and @chrisstapleton have created a partnership that celebrates that craft in three key ways.”
“From the artistry of our superior craftsmanship, to the revival of vintage designs, to the way every purchase will result in a donation to Stapleton’s charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind, this collection is as authentic and unique as Chris himself,” the post read.
Making Music
On the musical side of things, Stapleton just teamed up with fellow country singer, Carly Pearce on her latest single, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.”
He is also set to receive the ACM Triple Crown Award at this year’s ACM Honors on Aug. 23 at the Ryman Auditorium.
In addition, Stapleton will be performing at various summer festivals before kicking off his All-American Road Show, which wraps in October.
