Carly Pearce scored her fourth career No. 1 hit at Country radio with her current single “What He Didn’t Do.” The tune, which appears on her 2021 project, 29: Written In Stone, sits in the No. 1 spot on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart this week.

After hearing the exciting news, Pearce quickly took to social media to express her appreciation for Country radio and all the fans who listened and requested the song.

“The hardest season of my life brought me the most beautiful redemption story. The most personal song I’ve released to radio is the #1 song in the country. I’m drinking rose and I’m in my feels and just so grateful for the life you’ve given me,” Pearce wrote on Twitter with the hashtag, #whathedidntdo.

The chart-topping hitmaker also shared a carousel of images and a message of gratitude with her follows on Instagram.

“WHAT HE DIDNT DO IS #1!!!! I can’t even put into words what this moment means. When I wrote this song, I needed to be reminded of my worth & that I deserved better— and y’all have shown me that I DO matter. Thank you country radio, my co-writers @emilyshackelton & Ashley Gorley, fans & my entire team for this. This season of my life started so painful, and is ending so beautiful. What a way to end the 29 chapter 🥹♥️🙏”

The Tune Appears On Her Latest Album, 29: Written In Stone

“What He Didn’t Do” is featured on Pearce’s critically acclaimed album, 29: Written In Stone. The fan-favorite track was co-written by Pearce, Ashley Gorley and Emily Shackleton.

The track, which was most-added at Country radio upon release, finds the songstress detailing everything her ex didn’t do throughout the relationship, rather than revealing what he officially did to end things.

“So I ain’t gonna go and tell you what he did/ But I’ll tell you what he didn’t do/ / Treat me right, put me first, be a man of his word/ Stay home ’cause he wanted to/ always fight for my love, hold on tight like it’s something/ That he couldn’t stand to lose/ The devil’s in the details, I won’t tell the hell that he put me through/ All I know is in the end, it wasn’t what he did, no/ It was what he didn’t do,” she sings.

Carly Pearce recently wrapped up her supporting role on Blake Shelton’s Back To The Honky Tonk Tour.

Additionally, Pearce released a live version of her latest album on Friday, March 24. Produced by Pearce alongside David Clauss, 29: WRITTEN IN STONE (LIVE FROM MUSIC CITY) was filmed at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works during her intimate acoustic concert that took place in 2022.

The album features special guests including Lee Brice (“I Hope You’re Happy Now), The Isaacs (“Easy Going”), Matthew West (“Truth Be Told”), Jenee Fleenor (“29″) and Ashley McBryde (“Never Wanted To Be That Girl”).
