Bunnie XO is ringing in the holiday season in her own way, adding her signature humor to the classic Christmas hit, “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer,” produced by Stonebaby Sounds. The playful rendition of the iconic holiday track features comedian Matt Mathews.
“Grandma got run over by a reindeer/ Walking home from our house Christmas Eve/ You can say there’s no such thing as Santa/ But as for me and Grandpa, we believe,” Bunnie and Mathews sing in sync on the tune’s chorus.
The tune is accompanied by an equally hilarious music video that includes special appearances from her husband Jelly Roll and longtime friend and viral internet personality Demps.

The music video starts with a loud and messy family sitting around the dinner table for a holiday meal. Grandma, played by Demps, is the center of attention as food is passed around and the family argues. After drinking too much, Grandma gets upset and storms out of the house. That’s when things take a crazy turn, she gets hit by Santa’s sleigh and his reindeer. Making the moment even funnier, Jelly Roll plays Rudolph, wearing a big red nose, as he leads Santa’s sleigh.
After Grandma is run over by the reindeer, the video jumps to her funeral at a funeral home in Tennessee. What should be a serious moment quickly turns funny as Bunnie XO and Matt Mathews run the service while lip-syncing the lyrics to their playful version of the Christmas song.
Just when it seems like the story is over, Grandma suddenly wakes up in her casket. She spots Jelly Roll dressed as Rudolph sitting in the crowd, jumps out of the casket, and storms out of the funeral home, leaving her family completely shocked and confused.
Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, opened up to Music Mayhem about her epic Christmas music video, revealing that there couldn’t be a more perfect way to celebrate the holiday season.
“What way to represent the holiday season than with this gem. Everyone knows it and Matt is absolutely hilarious, he’s one of my besties – so couldn’t imagine doing it without him,” Bunnie XO shared.
Filmed and edited by videographer Andy Pollitt, the music video also features several of Bunnie XO’s friends, family members, and members of her team, including her manager Meme Shahan, makeup artist Hailee Clark, her dog Chachi, her daughter Bailee Ann, and as mentioned Demps and Jelly Roll.
According to Bunnie XO, Demps was the perfect choice to serve as Grandma, as it allowed her hilarious personality to shine. “Lol! Demps is so talented and is naturally one of the funniest humans I’ve ever known. She’s a star & I can’t wait for the world to realize that,” The Dumb Blonde Podcast host added.
When asked how Jelly Roll reacted to being asked to take part in the music video as Rudolph, she replied, “He laughed and said ‘can’t wait’—he secretly loves all my Christmas songs every year and if you look back on all the vids. Usually the same people are sort of them every year. I think this year was number 5 or 6!”

This isn’t Bunnie XO’s first foray into comedic Christmas music, she’s previously released the songs “Bring Your Package To Me (Christmas Screw),” “Mista Grinch (ft. Savannah Dexter),” “Shimmy Down My Chimney,” “12 Days Of Rizzmas” and “Come Here Cowboy.”
Bunnie XO previously told us that she began releasing Christmas songs “because the world needs more laughter, especially online.” She continued, “It’s such a scary place on the interwebs, so if I can just take someone’s mind to a funny place for 2–3 mins each time, then that makes my heart full.”
The funny Christmas parody comes just days after Bunnie XO revealed details of her first-ever book tour, to celebrate the upcoming release of her tell-all memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, arriving on February 10, 2026, via Harper Collins Publishers.
