Brett Young earned his seventh consecutive No. 1 single with “Lady,” a song that he said is a love letter to his 1-year-old daughter Presley about his wife Taylor.

The country superstar said that he is “speechless” as this song is “a truly special one” and “easily the most personal song” he’s ever written.

“I’m speechless. “Lady” is officially #1 at country radio,” Young said in a social media post. “This is a truly special one. It is easily the most personal song I’ve ever written. A love letter to my daughter about my wife. Thank you for being the inspiration behind this song – I love you both so much!”

Young went on to thank country radio, his team and last but not least his fans for taking “Lady” to the tops of the charts and earning him his seventh consecutive No. 1 hit.

“Thank you to country radio and my amazing team that helped make this happen – I couldn’t have done this without you,” the hitmaker continued. “Last but not least, thank you to every single person who requested, downloaded, streamed, sang along, and turned up this song. Seeing how much y’all have related to it is so incredibly special to me. I see all your videos, comments, and stories – please keep them coming. THANK YOU.”

Young’s wife Taylor commented on his Instagram celebratory post saying “This song means the world to me. The most special and beautiful gift to Presley and I. I remember hearing it for the first time when P was in my belly. I still tear up every single time I hear it. Her heartbeat at the beginning. SO proud of you for another #1 in the books. Wow. And thank you to the fans who love this song too. It’s been so incredible to see all the videos and hear the stories about how special this song is to so many people.”

Young first debuted “Lady” during his headlining Chapters Tour in early 2020, later releasing the poignant song to country radio as the follow-up single to his chart-topping hit, “Catch.”

Additionally, the singer recently unveiled the gender of baby No. 2 and performed “Lady” during The Kelly Clarkson Show, which you can watch HERE.
