Walker Hayes shared an emotional video message with fans after being forced to abruptly postpone his concert in Orange Beach, Alabama at The Wharf Amphitheater on Saturday, June 24.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, June 24 at The Wharf Amphitheater, the concert will now take place on July 25.

Hayes took to social media with an emotional video message for fans just hours before the concert to reveal the unfortunate news.

“Hey, what’s up Orange Beach? Walker here, I’m super disappointed to have to do this to you guys. It’s been a crazy weekend and I just tried to power through the shows and I don’t feel like I can give y’all the best that I’ve got to give tonight so we’re going to have to reschedule,” the “Fancy Like” singer shared in a video message. “I’m disappointed as can be and hope y’all will understand. I hope y’all accept my apology and hope to see y’all on July 25th for the makeup date. Again, I’m so sorry and let me get well and well be back.”

Rescheduled Alabama Concert For July 25

The news comes just hours after Hayes performed in Nashville, Tennessee at Ascend Amphitheater with special guests Ingrid Andress and Ray Fulcher.

He continued, “I’m so disappointed to be writing this right now, but I have to postpone my show tonight in Orange Beach at The Wharf. I fought all day yesterday to be able to do the show in Nashville but woke up today in much worse shape. When you guys are spending your hard earned money to come out and see us, I never want to give anything less than 100%. The show will be rescheduled for July 25th and I promise it will be worth the wait.”

All original tickets will be honored for the new date. Refunds are available at the point of purchase until July 24, 2023, if you are no longer able to make it to the show.

Walker Hayes’ Duck Buck Tour

Hayes is in the midst of his Duck Buck Tour, which kicked off on April 13 in Rosemont, Illinois. Since then, the tour has made stops in cities such as Evansville, Indiana, Boston, Massachusetts, and Jacksonville, Florida.

Hayes’ Duck Buck Tour will continue through August 5, where the trek wraps up in Sterling Heights, Michigan at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre. The 22-date tour features support from Chris Lane, Nicolle Galyon, BRELAND, Ray Fulcher, and Ingrid Andress.

The tour gets its name from the chorus of the title track off Hayes’ most recent album, Country Stuff The Album, in which the Mobile, AL native celebrates the trademarks of life in the country. “I like shooting ducks and bucks / I like mud tires on my trucks / I like old blue jeans, guitar strings and dirt roads,” Hayes sings in the chorus of “Country Stuff.”

Since the release of “Country Stuff,” the Duck Buck has become Hayes’ signature and now appears on his merch, across his social media channels, and within his music videos after fans grew to adore the visual.

Being A Dad And Missing Mine

In March, Walker Hayes released a special two-pack project titled, being a dad and missing mine. It included the tracks “6 string American dream” and “if father time had a daughter.”

“Been waiting to get these two songs out for a long time,” Walker Hayes shared in a press release. “As I look at the body of work and the songs I’m sitting on, I think about what I want to say – and this is what I want to say to the world right now. These songs wreck me in different ways and it’s my hope that everyone that listens will leave feeling real feelings.”

Performed A Father/Daughter Duet

While performing at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater, Hayes shared a special moment with his daughter, Loxley “Lolly” Hayes when they joined together to perform “If Father Time Had A Daughter.” With Hayes taking the lead while strumming an acoustic guitar, the 9-year-old sweetly harmonized with her father.

Hayes’ wife, Laney, captured the extraordinary duet on video. The country singer later shared the moment on social media

“These are just some really really really good years,” his caption began, referencing the lyrics of the song.

He went on to share his gratitude for what he called “perhaps the best show we’ve ever had.”

“I am grateful,” he wrote. “Will never forget this moment with Lolly.”

Re-live the special moment above.

Walker Hayes next tour date is set for Friday, June 30 in Dauphin, Canada. Fans can visit his official website for a complete list of upcoming tour dates
