Luke Bryan issued a statement after being forced to abruptly cancel his Farm Tour date in Eyota, Minnesota on Saturday, September 23.
On Saturday afternoon (Sept. 23), the “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” singer took to social media to share the unfortunate news with fans hours before the show was set to take place at Gar-Lin Dairy Farm.
Issued A Statement
“Eyota, MN Farm Tour, we are onsite and have been working to make this show happen for tonight,” Bryan wrote. “Unfortunately with impending weather we are having to make the tough decision to cancel the show.”
He proceeded to clarify that the safety of his fans holds the utmost importance, especially considering the forthcoming weather conditions.
“The safety of each of you is our first concern and we do not want to jeopardize that in any way. We love Farm Tour and all of you who support these shows and the American Farmer,” the Georgia native said, concluding his statement with fans.
Refunds for the show will be available at original point of purchase, according to Luke Bryan’s social media post.
Farm Tour
The five-time Entertainer Of The Year is currently taking a break from his incredibly successful Country On Tour while he embarks on his annual Farm Tour.
The canceled Minnesota concert was expected to serve as the final date of Luke Bryan’s 14th Annual Farm Tour, which kicked off on September 14 in Shelbyville, Kentucky at Mulberry Orchard. The trek was sponsored by Bayer, Farmland, Fendt, and Citi.
Throughout the tour, Luke Bryan set up stages in the fields of farms in Shelbyville, KY, Millersport, OH, Colfax, IA, and Brooklyn, WI.
“One of the reasons we created these Farm Tour shows – to bring the big-city tour to the people,” Bryan explained in a press release. “These nights are one-of-a-kind and we really enjoy getting to know the farmers and their families, love the whole atmosphere of playing on these incredible farms and watching entire communities come together and get excited about these shows.”
Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour Launched In 2009
Since he first began this trek around small towns in 2009, Bryan has found various ways to give back to these communities that reflect the one that raised him in Leesburg, G.A.
To help reach his goals, Bryan has once again partnered with Bayer, a “one of the world’s leading life sciences companies.” Since 2015, Bayer has joined the Farm Tour as a sponsor to help honor America’s farmers for providing us with access to critical health and nutrition through its #HerestotheFarmer campaign. The campaign asks fans to join in by using #HerestotheFarmer on their social media platforms from now through November 30, 2023. For every share using the hashtag during this time period, Bayer will donate 1 million meals to people in need through Feeding America®.
Since the partnership’s inception, 6 million meals have been donated and more than $180,000 has gone to Feeding America member food banks and local farmers at each of the tour cities.
Over the years event sponsors have donated money, food and resources to the local communities and also nationally. Last year alone, Bayer provided one million meals to Feeding America®, Farmland® donated a truckload of protein to local food banks in each of the states that hosted the tour and also donated $9,000 to each state’s FFA Association, and Fendt donated $25,000 to the national FFA organization.
Country On Tour
Luke Bryan will resume the Country On Tour on September 28, when the tour arrives to Dallas, Texas at Dos Equis Pavilion.
The Country On Tour, which kicked off on June 15 in Syracuse and runs through October 28, will visit 36 cities across the United States with stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Charlotte, and more. Chayce Beckham, Tyler Braden, Ashley Cooke, Jackson Dean, Jon Langston, Conner Smith, Alana Springsteen, and Hailey Whitters join Bryan on the run alongside DJ Rock.
“I’m so excited about this year’s summer tour, the Country On Tour. I’ve got a lot of new up-and-coming artists. Some of ‘em have had a hit, some of ‘em are about to have a hit. They’re gonna be out there with me, and I’m so excited to be around young talent and watch them enjoy the summer tour,” Bryan previously shared of his tour mates.
He later added, “My favorite part about being out there on the Country On Tour is going town to town, and nothing is better than being out on the road in the summer.”
Las Vegas Residency And “But I Got A Beer In My Hand”
Following his headlining Country On Tour, Luke Bryan will return to Las Vegas for the final run of his record-breaking headlining engagement, “Luke Bryan: VEGAS” at Resorts World Theatre inside Resorts World Las Vegas.
