Ed Sheeran has joined Season 21 of NBC’s The Voice.
The popular singing competition show announced the exciting addition of Sheeran on Tuesday (Oct. 5), hours before the final episode of the blind auditions.
“Our season 21 Mega Mentor is the ONE AND ONLY ED SHEERAN. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟” The Voice revealed in an Instagram caption. “Welcome to #TheVoice, @teddysphotos!”
Alongside coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Ariana Grande, and Blake Shelton, the “Bad Habits” singer will mentor the contestants who’ve made it through Battle Rounds as they prepare for the Knockouts.
Knockout Rounds will follow the upcoming ‘Battle Rounds’ which will feature previously announced battle advisors Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Camila Cabello and Kristen Chenoweth.
Sheeran joins the star-studded list of Mega Mentors, following Snoop Dogg, James Taylor, Usher, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
Sheeran will join The Voice as a mega mentor, beginning on October 25.
Additionally, Sheeran is set to release his highly-anticipated new album, = (Equals), later this month on October 29, just days after his debut on The Voice.
