Brantley Gilbert is giving fans a taste of what’s to come on his forthcoming seventh studio album with the release of his brand-new single, “Off The Rails.” The country superstar dropped the new song on Friday (Mar. 8), just one day before the kick-off to his massive headlining tour of the same name.

“This song captures the energy we’re bringin’ to y’all on the road this year… So y’all turn it up to 12,” Gilbert wrote on social media.

New Song, “Off The Rails”

Co-written by Gilbert alongside Brandon Day, Brian Davis, Brock Berryhill, Chase McGill, Josh Phillips, Michael Ray & Taylor Phillips, “Off The Rails” brings the same high energy that seamlessly aligns with his electrifying live shows.

“Run it off the rails, kick it into four-wheel/ Set it on fire, smoke it like a shine still/ Coal rolling, you know it, we’re banging hells bells/ Twin stacking, we back and we yelling, “Hell yeah”/ Hell nah, baby, ain’t no slowing down/ They gonna call the law, then they better do it now/ Yeah, all aboard, this crazy train’s on twelve/ Tonight, we gonna run it off the rails,” Gilbert sings on the tune’s chorus.

New Album On The Way

The anticipation builds as the song not only serves as a prelude to the tour but also acts as the lead track from Gilbert’s upcoming seventh studio album, which will find Gilbert returning to his roots and early influences.

“I’ve really enjoyed writing for this new album, and it’s been an absolute blast to toy around with a few different sounds in the studio,” Brantley Gilbert revealed. “I think we’re focusing a bit more on instrumentation and leaning even further into some of my roots and early influences.”

The Georgia native has been hard at work in the studio and has teased several collaborations with Kid Rock and Gary LeVox on social media.

Follows Release Of So Help Me God

The song follows the release of his sixth studio album, So Help Me God, which arrived on November 10, 2023. So Help Me God features 10 tracks, including four collaborations: Blake Shelton and Vince Gill (“Heaven By Then”), Jason Aldean (“Rolex® On A Redneck”), Toby Keith and HARDY (“The Worst Country Song Of All Time”), and Jelly Roll (“Son Of The Dirty South”).

“I’ll forever be thankful for those guys taking the chance,” Gilbert said of his collaborators. “Cause every time you get on a song with somebody, you really are putting some faith in ’em. And to me, it’s humbling.”

Brantley Gilbert also released a deluxe edition of the project in April of 2023, featuring five new songs he co-wrote, including “Wrote The Book Around Here,” “Tailgates of Heaven,” “Bury Me Upside Down,” “All Over the Map,” and “Behind the Times.”

“We’ve done the deluxe release several times in my career, and it’s always my way of tying up the loose ends on the record, [and] kind of completing the story just punctuating the sentence,” Gilbert previously told Music Mayhem and other media outlets.

Brantley Gilbert Off The Rails Tour

Additionally, Brantley Gilbert will kick off his headlining Off The Rails Tour at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel in Wetumpka, Alabama on Saturday, March 9. The trek, which features support from Dylan Marlowe, Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones, continues through Summer of 2024.

“I can’t wait to hit the road and give BG Nation a taste of how we’ve been amping things up for the ‘Off The Rails Tour.’ I’m a big fan of all the guys joining us, so I’m really looking forward to what they’ll bring to the whole show,” Gilbert added at the time of the tour announcement.

Gilbert recently teased that fans can expect a career-spanning set list that also features new music on the Off The Rails Tour. “We’ve got some big plans for the Off The Rails Tour,” Gilbert teased via a press release. “Not only will we be sprinkling in some new tracks, but we’ve found a way to add even more songs into the set list, so you’ll be hearing a good mix of longtime favorites, deep cuts and unreleased material. We’re really looking forward to giving BG Nation the first taste of what we have in store for the next album…it’s going to be a wild ride.”

In addition to his headlining tour, Brantley Gilbert will also take the stage at several upcoming festivals, including Rock The Country, Dam Jam Music Festival and more.
