Blake Shelton detailed an encounter that he had with an opossum.
During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show alongside his fellow coaches from The Voice, including Nick Jonas, John Legend and the Emmy-award winning talk show host Kelly Clarkson. In the segment of the show that Shelton appeared, Clarkson talked about his recent Instagram story that he shared of an opossum on what appears to be his backyard deck.
“I was at the house in Oklahoma and I was there by myself and I grilled something on the grill,” Shelton explained of the encounter. “And I got it out, I was letting it cool off and I went back to get it and a damn opossum over there, look, eating my… I actually grilled some fish. I was like ‘hey man.’”
“I didn’t know he ate the food,” Legend chimed in before Shelton replied, “Yeah, it was in my food.”
“I ended up petting it and hanging out with it,” Shelton while a video showed of him petting the opossum in his yard. “See look at it, he likes me.”
“Real quick question but have you ever heard of rabies,” Clarkson said to Shelton.
Later in the show, Legend detailed an encounter he had with a deadly snake and Jonas talked how he was once chased by a pack of wolves.
