Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s latest duet “Happy Anywhere” has quickly become a fan-favorite track from the couple.
The song is most-added this week as 119 radio stations added the song to their rotation, with 116 of those being Mediabase-monitored stations. “Happy Anywhere” also received the third-highest first week add total of any country song in 2020 so far, also being 5x larger than any other song this week.
Shelton previously said that the song is one of the “most fun” tracks that he has been apart of, Stefani even admitted that the song is one that just makes you smile.
“You know, ‘Happy Anywhere’ has got to be one of the most fun songs that I’ve ever had a chance to record and the actual recording process was a blast. Listening to it afterwards was a blast,” Shelton said. “I had a moment where Gwen told me, “You know, there’s something about this song that just makes you smile.” And it doesn’t hurt that it has Happy in the title.”
The song was co-written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins.
“Happy Anywhere” follows his latest single which is another duet with Stefani titled “Nobody But You.” Their previously releases duet “Nobody But You” quickly went No. 1, marking Stefani’s first No. 1 country single and Shelton’s 27th No. 1. It marks the superstar couple’s fourth collaboration.
