Billie Eilish shocked the crowd with an unexpected performance alongside Paramore’s Hayley Williams during the second weekend of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California on Saturday, April 23.

In the midst of Eilish’s headlining Coachella set, Williams surprised fans by joining Eilish on stage to sing an acoustic rendition of Paramore’s 2007 hit, “Misery Business.”

“This is my first Coachella. Woah! Thanks for sharing this with me – this is sick!” Williams said after Eilish introduced her to the stage.

While sitting between FINNEAS and another guitarist, Eilish and Williams delivered an impressive performance of the fan-favorite Paramore tune. While sitting on stools center stage, Williams led the performance as she sang the first verse of “Misery Business,” Eilish sang the second and then the pair flawlessly blended their vocals together on the song’s chorus.

“Whoa, I never meant to brag / But I got him where I want him now / Whoa, it was never my intention to brag / To steal it all away from you now / But God, does it feel so good / ‘Cause I got him where I want him now / And if you could, then you know you would / ‘Cause God it just feels so / It just feels so good,” Eilish and Williams in perfect harmony on the chorus.

“Misery Business” is the lead single from Paramore’s second studio album, Riot!, and is a track that the band retired in 2018 due to one of its controversial lyrics, which Eilish skipped over while performing live.

Later in the show, Williams rejoined Eilish onstage for a rockin’ performance of Eilish’s chart-topping hit, “Happier Than Ever.”

Williams entered the stage without introduction to sing the heavy part of “Happier Than Ever.”

“And I don’t talk shit about you on the internet / Never told anyone anything bad / ‘Cause that shit’s embarrassing, you were my everything / And all that you did was make me fucking sad,” the pair sang as the crowd roared the lyrics back to them. “So don’t waste the time I don’t have / And don’t try to make me feel bad / I could talk about every time that you showed up on time / But I’d have an empty line ’cause you never did / Never paid any mind to my mother or friends / So I shut ’em all out for you ’cause I was a kid / You ruined everything good / Always said you were misunderstood / Made all my moments your own / Just fucking leave me alone.”

Paramore are currently working on their new album and are set to headline the upcoming When We Were Young Festival in October at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

Eilish is recently wrapped her massive headlining tour, and is preparing to take her Happier Than Ever World Tour overseas.
