Bebe Rexha is not holding back in discussing her struggles with her weight.

The “I’m Good (Blue)” singer revealed she was recently diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and that her condition has impacted her weight during a May appearance on Gayle King’s SiriusXM show, Gayle King in the House, according to PEOPLE.

“I definitely struggle with my weight, and I struggle with the way that I look, and it’s been tough for me. I just found out recently that I have PCOS, and a lot of women have it. And a lot of women have it and don’t know,” Rexha explained.

“It’s tough. I think for me, I’ve been definitely struggling with my weight, and I’ve been struggling with food forever,” she said.

“I remember starting out and getting my first record deal, they kind of put it in my head and they said to me when I first got signed, ‘Are you ready to get into bootcamp shape? Because you need to lose 20 lbs. in order to do this career. Like you have to lose weight.’”

“So Upsetting

Besides revealing her PCOS diagnosis, the “I’m Good (Blue)” singer shared how a trending TikTok search about her weight gain was “so upsetting.”

Rexha recounted seeing “Bebe Rexha weight” in the search bar of the popular social media platform.

“Seeing that search bar is so upsetting,” the 33-year-old singer wrote in a subsequent tweet. “I’m not mad ’cause it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what.”

“I’ve always struggled with my weight. A b—ch likes to eat,” she said in a follow-up message.

After Rexha posted the two tweets, a fan wrote back to her to offer some encouragement.

“As long as YOU are happy then it doesn’t matter!!!!” the fan assured her. “Don’t starve yourself and lose your happiness!!!!!!!”

“I’m working on myself everyday [sic],” Rexha responded. “Just discouraged a bit right now,” she added.

“No longer 19 Years Old

In addition to speaking with King, Rexha recently opened up to Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans.

Rexha said she’s not 19 years old anymore and that it’s normal for people to go through fluctuations in their weight. Rexha also said she likes speaking out.

“I’m in the public eye and I am not mad about it because I have gained weight [and] I’m a woman now. I’m no longer 19 years old when I first started out. And people have fluctuations. They gain weight, they lose weight. This is being a human. And that’s why I like speaking out about it,” the “I’m Good (Blue)” singer explained.

“I’m always working on myself. I’m trying to do my little diet right now. My little workout, trying to be the best version of me for [my] tour. But it’s hard.”

Although Rexha said her journey with her weight has been difficult, she told Evans she centers herself through God, eating healthier, working out, and “just trying to shut out the noise.”

New Album And Tour

These days, Rexha is busy performing on her Best F*N Night Of My Life Tour, whose remaining stops include Atlanta, Orlando, Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

The tour is in support of Rexha’s self-titled third studio album, which was released in April and features tracks such as “I’m Good (Blue),” “Heart Wants What It Wants,” “When It Rains,” and more.
