24 Song Set List, Including A Few Surprises

According to AJ McLean, Backstreet Boys’ set at Sphere will feature 24 songs, including a few medleys and surprises.

“There is one song in particular that will surprise fans that we haven’t done live since the Unbreakable tour,” McLean told Hello Magazine in a recent interview. “We did it on Never Gone with Kevin, and then we did it again on Unbreakable with just the four of us, but we haven’t done it since then.”

Backstreet Boys’ Sphere Set List Will Heavily Features Song From Millennium

The award-winning boy band’s set list will heavily feature songs from their 1999 album, Millennium, to mark the project’s 25th anniversary. Millennium, named one of the best-selling albums of all time (selling over 24 million copies worldwide), features some of the Backstreet Boys’ biggest hits such as “I Want It That Way,” “Larger Than Life,” “Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely,” “The One” and more.

In addition to showcasing the success of their third studio album, Backstreet Boys will also perform some of their most beloved hits such as “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and many more.

To Include Jaw-Dropping Visuals And High-Energy Live Show

The concert will be unlike anything the Backstreet Boys have ever done before and will feature jaw-dropping visuals in addition to the high-energy live show that the group is known for.

“This venue is one of a kind, the possibilities are endless, and so we are just in full creative mode right now with our creative team, getting the setlist together, going over visual concepts,” Richardson told PEOPLE.

“There are going to be a lot of sections of the show, both content and live, that people are going to be talking about,” AJ previously told Hello Magazine. He also teased that it will “literally feel like the band is singing directly to you”. McLean continued, “I would assume half the crowd’s going to watch us, half the crowd’s going to watch the screen, and then you’re going to have to come back and switch it because you’re just not going to be able to see everything at the same time – which is awesome!”

Brian Littrell added, “We talk about it a lot: it’s almost like two different shows going on at the same time because there’s the show on the screen, but there’s a show on the stage, and so the important part is to integrate those two shows together because you don’t want to lose anybody. “We’re not The Eagles. We don’t stand up there in one spot and play instruments. We dance around, we hype the crowd. I don’t think there’s any fear, just excitement as we ask: ‘How do we do it differently?’ And we’ve got some tricks up our sleeves.”
