A Day To Remember’s Neil Westfall and his wife Mary Mattern Westfall welcomed their second child, a son named Lucas Wylan, just days before Christmas!
The 35-year-old guitarist took to social media on Sunday afternoon (Dec. 25), which is also Westfall’s birthday, to reveal the exciting news with fans.
To announce the arrival of his second child, Westfall shared a snapshot of himself all smiles as he held his newborn child in the hospital room.
“Happy holidays everybody! Mary gave me a healthy baby boy for Christmas! We couldn’t be more Lucky. I hope everyone gets everything they need this year! Lots of love radiating from my direction!” Westfall wrote on Twitter, before introducing his son to the world. “His name is Lucas Wylan Westfall.
The couple welcomed their second child on December 21, 2022, according to a Facebook post.

Lucas Wylan joins the couple’s first child, daughter Amelia Wylde Westfall, who they welcomed to the world on January 7, 2021, at 12:20 PM. At the time of Amelia’s arrival, Westfall took to his Instagram to share an image of him and his newborn daughter, which he captioned, “You changed our life forever.”

Baby Westfall is the fifth baby welcomed into the A Day To Remember band camp. Westfall’s son joins Alex Shelnutt’s son, who was born in August of 2021, Jeremy McKinnon’s daughters Millie Walker and Montana, who were born in May of 2021 and December of 2017, respectively, as well as Joshua Woodard’s daughter, who arrived in August of 2020.
Neil Westfall and Mary wedded back in October 2018.
Earlier this year, A Day To Remember returned with a brand-new single “Miracle,” which marked the band’s first new music since the release of their 2021 project, You’re Welcome.
The 14-track album includes fan-favorite hits such as “Mindreader,” “Resentment,” “Last Chance To Dance (Bad Friend),” “Degenerates,” “Brick Wall,” among many others. The project also marks the band’s first album on their new label home, Fueled By Ramen.
Additionally, the Ocala formed group, composed of Jeremy McKinnon, Alex Shelnutt, Kevin Skaff and Neil Westfall, recently wrapped up their first-ever acoustic tour, dubbed Reassembled: The Acoustic Theater Tour.
“That’s a wrap! This tour was unlike any other. Thanks so much to everyone who came out and shared this experience with us, and to all who tuned in for the livestream,” A Day To Remember wrote on Instagram alongside a video recap featuring footage of the tour’s last show.

The trek kicked off on November 28 in South Carolina and ended on December 19 in Orlando, Florida at Dr Phillips Center, which the band livestreamed online for fans across the globe to watch. Wage War served as support on the tour.
On the tour, the band performed acoustic sets each night with a set list that spanned their entire career in intimate theaters across the United States.
A Day To Remember are currently soaking in time with their family and friends during their brief break from the road. The group will return to the road in February of 2023, where they will head overseas to serve as direct support for BRING ME THE HORIZON on their Post Human European Tour, which also features support from Poorstacy, Static Dress and Brando Chiesa.
Kicking off on February 2, 2023, the Post Human European Tour begins at Swiss Life Hall in Hannover and will visit Berlin, Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Munich, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, and more before concluding on February 28 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp.
