Below is a list of four holiday must-sees at the resort.

ICE!

After a two-year hiatus, ICE! has officially returned to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and this year’s longtime holiday tradition is themed after the classic 1964 Christmas animated television special, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.

ICE! brings the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to life with over 2 million pounds/1,000 tons of hand carved ice sculptures throughout the nearly 20,000-square-foot frozen attraction. The exhibit includes 12 scenes from the animated holiday television special and features all the classic characters, including Clarice, Bumble. Sam the Snowman, Hermey the Elf, and of course Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer himself.

Located inside the Gaylord Opryland Events Center, the attraction takes visitors on a journey from Rudolph’s birth to his luminous red nose leading the reindeer team and guiding Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve.

The boldly colored ice sculptures range in size from details as small as a coin to massive scenes over 20 feet tall in the exhibit, which they keep at 9-degrees Fahrenheit to prevent the ice from melting. Guests are provided with one of Gaylord Opryland’s signature blue parkas during their ICE! experience to keep them warm and toasty while admiring the impressive ice sculptures.

While experiencing ICE!, Guests can also take a ride down one of four two-story-tall ice slides and take an adventure through ice tunnels and arches.

In addition to reliving the magical story of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, the experience concludes with a beautiful Nativity scene that was meticulously carved and shaped in a dramatic display of crystal-clear ice.

ICE! is now open and runs through January 1, 2023. Tickets for the attraction can be purchase now HERE.
