Viral Sensation, Will Dempsey is a 33-year-old Louisiana native, who one day was just joking around in his home with his 3-year-old son, Weston, playing guitar and singing along to their rendition of Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy,” that Dempsey’s wife Tiffany filmed and uploaded online. Before you know it the video quickly went viral and is currently boasting over 16.4 million views and counting. Viewers loved his vocals so much in that video that they begged him to release music, which is when Dempsey decided to release covers of hit songs daily including Hootie & The Blowfish’s “Let Her Cry,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” and many more. The videos quickly amassed thousands of views with fans eagerly anticipating the release of original music from Dempsey.

Today (Jan. 7), Dempsey has officially debuted his first original song “Best Parts Of Me,” which is about his 7-year-old daughter, Isabella.  He started writing the song back in July, taking him a little over a month to complete, as he wanted it to be the best showcase of his songwriting abilities. He then went on to record the song himself in his own home studio, self teaching himself everything day by day using the trial and error method, spending hours to perfect the song.

“Cause the best parts of me, were given to you and I hope that all of your dreams come true,” Dempsey sings. “and as time goes by I want you to know, that I’ll be with you wherever you go, you’ll always be my baby girl.”

Dempsey explained the lyrics saying: “I was trying to describe her [his daughter, Isabella] and some of the things that I love about her, which is pretty hard to do in a 4 minute song. As well as let her know that she can always count on me to be there for her, with anything that she needs in her life. I can see a lot of myself in her and I really feel like she inherited a lot of my best qualities. So in a lot of ways I’ll always be with her, even when I’m not here anymore and I just wanted her to know that.”

To accompany the song, Dempsey unveiled a playful daddy, daughter self-produced music video that was filmed by his wife, Tiffany Schlumbrecht Dempsey. The video includes some home footage of his daughter’s cutest childhood moments that perfectly fit the image of the song. You can check out the music video and hear the song below:

Lyrics: I can still remember the first time I saw, Those brown eyes staring into mine. It was in that moment I felt a love, That I never knew I would find Its like God took my heart right out of my chest and wrapped it all up in a little pink dress Then painted the most beautiful smile in the world, and topped it all off with brown hair and curls, The day He made my baby girl Its like the best parts of me, were given to you and I hope that all of your dreams come true And as time goes by I want you to know That I’ll be with you where ever you go and you’ll always be My baby girl Shes as sweet as the syrup she dripped on her dress Wont leave the house if her hair is a mess And you should see her dancing when she thinks she’s alone Or the snaps she sends me from her momma’s phone And I’ve made so many mistakes in my life At least I did one thing right My baby girl Because the best parts of me, were given to you And I hope that all of your dreams come true And as time goes by I want you to know That I’ll be with you where ever you go and you’ll always be my baby girl There’ll be some hard times you’ll face in this life but just say the word and I’m by your side and all those bandaids, and heartbreaks, and days that go wrong you’ll never face them alone Because those best parts of me will never leave you wherever you go, whatever you do and if there comes a time when I’m not around You know where I’ll be found My baby girl
