Luke Bryan celebrated the release of his new studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, on Friday (Aug. 7) with performances of “One Margarita,” “Knockin’ Boots” and “Build Me A Daddy” on the TODAY Show.

The country superstar also talked about the postponement of this album due to the novel coronavirus pandemic on TODAY, as the album was originally expected to be released in April.

“We were originally going to put the album out in April. It was obviously not the time to be putting an album out, so we just delayed the release until today,” Bryan explained.

The delay did make fans more anxious to hear the music but Bryan kept fans on their toes by releasing singles, in which three of them hit No. 1 before the albums debut.

“It’s been pretty amazing. I will probably never release an album with three No. 1s before the thing comes out ever again.”

Actually, “Build Me A Daddy’ almost didn’t make the album but Bryan says after seeing how it affected people he just had to include it.

“The beauty of country music is we’re able to talk about so many things in the whole scheme of life…” the superstar revealed. “It was a song that was so sad that I almost did not put it on the album, but then, after seeing how it affected people, I had to,” concluding, “I’m so glad I did.”

The performances took place in what appeared to be Bryan’s stunning wooden barn. You can watch the performances below.
