Katie Rae wow’ed viewers of NBC’s The Voice with a soulful cover of Maren Morris’ “The Bones” on the highly anticipated season premiere of the hit show on Monday evening (Sept. 20).

Prior to her performance, the Sacramento, California native shared how Morris’ album, GIRL, inspired her during a tough time in her life when she was struggling with postpartum depression after giving birth to her now 3-year-old son.

Rae earned a three-chair turn with Kelly Clarkson and John Legend turning immediately followed by Ariana Grande.

Her performance earned a standing ovation from all four coaches, including Blake Shelton, the only coach not to turn his chair.

“That was stunning,“ Grande gushed. “I love a strong powerhouse, bad bitch vocalist, I’m obsessed. I would be absolutely honored to be your coach.”

“Katie, you left Ariana speechless,” Legend added. “I would love to work with you, it would be an honor.”

Clarkson went on to compliment the emotional performance, telling Rae, “There’s a lot of people that can sing, but there’s not a lot of people that can move you… Your highs are incredible, but your lows are magical, they’re like sizzling butter.”

Grande took one last attempt to persuade Rae to join her team, admitting, “I might be new here, but I have a lot of experience as well.”

Rae was quick to make her decision.

“I think I’m gonna go with Ariana,” she exclaimed.

The Voice returned on Monday with the first episode of Season 21. Fans can catch the show on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
