George Strait raised funds for those affected by the Texas storms on Sunday, March 21 during the We’re Texas fundraiser, which was organized by Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey.

The country icon performed his 2008 single, “Troubadour,” surrounded by a few band members.

“Troubadour” is a track co-written by Leslie Satcher and Monty Holmes. The song was released in June 2008 as the second single to his twenty-fifth studio album of the same name. It also is the 86th single of Strait’s career and the 79th Top Ten single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The song also earned Strait a Grammy-nomination in 2009 for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.

We’re Texas also featured performances by Texas natives’ Charlie Sexton, Clint Black, Gary Clark Jr., Kacey Musgraves, Khalid, Kirk Franklin, Leon Bridges, Miranda Lambert, Don Henley, Los Lonely Boys, Lukas Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Parker McCollum, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, Randy Rogers and more.

In addition to the star-studded list of performers, the benefit concert also included special appearances by Angie Harmon, Chip & Joanna Gaines, Clayton Kershaw, Colt McCoy, Dak Prescott, Dr. Phil McGraw, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Joe Rogan, Jonas Brothers, Jordan Spieth, Liza Koshy, Megan Thee Stallion, Michael Strahan, Renee Zellweger, Selena Gomez, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Troy Aikman and Woody Harrelson.

Proceeds from the concert will be distributed by the Just Keep Livin’ Foundation’s Texas Relief Fund to several non-profit organizations including Austin Disaster Relief NetworkMeals on Wheels Central TexasSalvation Army of TexasSave the ChildrenBernard Project (SBP)Team Rubicon and many more. The funds will be distributed to help Texans affected by the recent winter storm which knocked out power to millions of homes, busted water pipes and numerous people are still without clean water.

Organized by Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey, the Texas benefit concert aired on Sunday, March 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET on McConaughey’s YouTube channel or if you a Texas resident, the event aired on Spectrum1.
