George Strait surprised the massive crowd at a recent festival with a cover of a country hit.

Strait’s headlining set during week two of Austin City Limits Festival at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, included a cover of Waylon Jennings’ “Waymore’s Blues,” in addition to his fan-favorite hits such as “Check Yes Or No,” “Amarillo By Morning,” “Carrying Your Love With Me,”
“All My Ex’s Live In Texas,” and more.

Join by his band, the 69-year-old country icon, wearing his signature black cowboy hat and a button-up shirt tucked into blue jeans, strummed his black acoustic guitar while belting out the lyrics to the timeless country hit. During the performance, he also made his way around the stage during guitar only portions of the track.

“Thank you so much, I’m going to do this old Waylon Jennings tune right now,” Strait told the crowd.
