ERNEST had a heart-stopping moment during his performance at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, July 6, when he fell off the stage. However, in an impressive turn of events, the 31-year-old Nashville native made an epic recovery.

At the conclusion of his set on Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, the fast-rising country star tripped over the Wallen’s stage production, causing him to fall. The incident took place while he was handing out roses after his performance of “Flower Shops.” He was on the stage’s runway tossing roses into the crowd when he took a step too far and tumbled off the stage and into the barricaded area.

Watch The Moment Unfold In The Clip Below

The country hitmaker, being a good sport about the unfortunate situation, took to social media to share a clip filmed by his videographer of the moment.

“ATHLETE #STL,” ERNEST captioned the clip.

In the clip, ERNEST is seen throwing roses into the crowd, like he does every show after performing “Flower Shops,” before tripping over the lights on the stage floor. However, ERNEST quickly proved that he was not one to be defeated, quickly regaining his composure and swiftly getting back on his feet, undeterred by the fall. After getting up off the ground, he jumped up onto the barricade step and thrusts his arms to the sky in triumph, similar to how Sylvester Stallone did it when he reached the top of the Philadelphia Art Museum steps in the Rocky movie.

Additionally, ERNEST’s epic recovery at Busch Stadium serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment to his craft as a live performer and his dedication to his fans. It showcases the resilience and perseverance that are hallmarks of a true performer, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed his triumphant comeback.

Country Stars React To ERNEST Falling Off The Stage

Several country stars took to the comments of ERNEST’s video, including Riley Green, Parker McCollum, Bailey Zimmerman, Conner Smith, Travis Denning, Ingrid Andress, Drew Green and many more.

“Pure athleticism,” Green wrote, while McCollum commented, “Holy shit.” Zimmerman added, “If ya ain’t here ya ain’t livin.”

Meanwhile, Smith and Denning poked fun with baseball puns about the Cardinals as Busch Stadium, where the incident occurred is home to the St. Louis Cardinals.

“Cardinals want you in centerfield now,” Smith wrote and Denning joked, “‘And with the first overall pick in the MLB draft the cardinals select…’”

ERNEST Is Currently On Tour With Morgan Wallen

The Nashville native is currently serving as support on Morgan Wallen’s 63-date One Night At A Time World Tour, which kicked off on April 14 at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

ERNEST will remain on tour with Wallen until the extensive trek wraps up on October 7 in Tacoma, WA at the Tacoma Dome.

This Fire Headlining Tour

Later this year, ERNEST is set to embark on a 15-date fall headlining trek, This Fire Tour.

“The fellas and I are hitting the road this fall, 🔥” ERNEST wrote at the time of the tour announcement.

ERNEST’s This Fire Tour launches in Oxford, Ohio on October 18 and runs through November 28, where the trek will wrap up in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I’m really excited to get the ERN show back on the road with the fellas,” ERNEST shared in a press release. “The show’s gonna be a hell of a time! Anytime we get to play to a room full of people who come to hear our music – it’s an unmatched feeling. The tour last year was a blast, and since then we dropped another 13 songs. If you haven’t yet, go listen to Two Dozen Roses, then come out and sing some country music with us.”

The trek features special guests Jake Worthington, John Morgan and Cody Lohden on select dates.

Tour Takes Its Namesake From ERNEST’s Song “This Fire”

The tour takes its namesake from a tune on FLOWER SHIPS (The Album): Two Dozen Roses titled “This Fire.” The song, written by ERNEST alongside Rocky Block, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan, was inspired by John Prine’s “Illegal Smile” and the title for the track was generated by an AI simulator.

“Fire that’s coming around / Wrecking my world / Burning it down / Oh there’s fire / Fire all over this town / All the tears in her eyes that she cries can’t put out / This fire / This fire / This fire,” ERNEST sings on the tune’s chorus.

ERNEST’s This Fire Tour follows the chart-topping songwriter’s completely sold out, first-ever headlining tour, which was dubbed the Sucker For Small Towns Tour and featured support from Jake Worthington, Lauren Watkins, and Noah Hicks.
