WATCH: Eric Church & Morgan Wallen Sing “Springsteen” Duet During Surprise Performance In Nashville

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen performed a duet of Church’s chart-topping single “Springsteen.”

The country hitmakers shared the stage on Wednesday (Sept. 22) in Nashville, Tennessee as part of the Supper Club’s soft opening at The Twelve Thirty Club. Joined by Wallen, Church performed his fan-favorite track, “Springsteen,” in the form of a duet with the East Tennessee native.

Forgetting some words during the show, Church let Wallen takeover several verses of the popular song. The pair also harmonized during a few parts of the song, including during the chorus. “Springsteen” is a track that appears on Church’s third studio album, Chief, co-written by Church alongside Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell.

In addition to performing “Springsteen,” Wallen, joined by Church on acoustic guitar, performed “Silverado For Sale” and “Sand In My Boots.” Both tracks appear on the East Tennessee native’s record-breaking project, Dangerous: The Double Album. Church even lent his vocals during “Sand In My Boots” alongside Wallen.

Church also performed “Drink In My Hand” as well as covers of Bob Seger’s “Night Moves” and Joan Jett And The Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” during his surprise performance at The Twelve Thirty Club.

In addition to Wallen and Church, the soft opening of the new Twelve Thirty Club also featured surprise performances by Zac Brown Band’s Zac Brown, Jessie James Decker, and more. Also, among the star-studded guest list appearing at the event were Jon Pardi, Kid Rock, Chase Rice and more.

Co-owned by Sam Fox and Justin Timberlake, The Twelve Thirty Club is located at Fifth + Broadway in Downtown Nashville. The 400-seat Supper Club will officially open in just a few days on Sept. 28, as the final part of the three-story bar and restaurant.

Over the course of the last year, Wallen and Church seemingly formed a tight-knit friendship. The pair spent time together fishing in late April and even shared a jam session together in late June, singing “Sand In My Boots” during a low-key hang alongside HARDY and Darius Rucker.

Church previously sang Wallen’s praises, telling Billboard, “He’s real damn good, and he’s authentic, That’s the key. Morgan is not trying to be somebody else. He’s just doing him. It’s refreshing to see and hear.”

Church also co-wrote a track on his chart-topping double album, Dangerous, called “Quittin’ Time.” Wallen previously told Country Now that recording a song written by Church is “truly one of my favorite accomplishments so far,” as he admires his style, attitude and just the overall way he handles himself, which he admits has always resonated with him.

“Quittin’ Time” is the song that got Wallen his “initial contact” with Church.

“Since then, I’ve been able to spend some time with him and get to know him a little bit better,” Wallen previously shared. “Which is cool for me, just because of how much he means to me musically.”

The performance comes just days after Church launched his massive, 55-date The Gather Again tour, which boasts of a 3-hour, 36-song performance in-the-round.

Meanwhile, Wallen is gearing up to return to the stage for a 4-show trek this fall, including two shows in Alabama, one in Tennessee and one in Georgia.
