Elle King and Dierks Bentley are gearing up to release a brand-new song together!
During King’s sold-out concert at The Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville on Monday evening (Feb. 28), King welcomed surprise guest, Bentley, to the stage to tell the crowd about their forthcoming new duet. The superstars then performed the upcoming duet, called “Worth A Shot,” for the first time ever.
“Well this is actually amazing, because we have something cool to tell you guys…” King told the cheering crowd. “We have a new song together everybody. It’s a song called ‘Worth A Shot.’”
The pair, who previously released “Different For Girls,” a duet released in June 2016 as the second single from Bentley’s eighth studio album, Black (2016), then went on to perform the unreleased new tune.
“It might be in a bottle / a little proof from the past / might be at the bottom of an empty glass / Don’t know if the whiskey can fix it or not / but baby it’s worth a shot / one shot from the top of the shelf / maybe two, what the hell / sleeping on the rocks / one shot maybe all that we got / I don’t know about you but I think it’s worth a shot,” King and Bentley sing in perfect harmony on the chorus of the unreleased track.

In addition to surprising the capacity crowd with a special performance alongside Bentley, King also shocked fans with special guests Miranda Lambert and Ashley McBryde, who also performed with her during the show. Lambert joined King for their chart-topping duet, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home),” while McBryde, who was in attendance as a friend and fan of King’s, joined King for a cover of Charlie Daniels Band’s “Long Haired Country Boy.”
Following their performance, King and Bentley took to social media to praise each other and reveal the exciting news of their upcoming collaboration.
“@dierksbentley you are the most wonderful, life changing, and inspiring person. I look up to you, respect you, and love you to no end,” King shared in a lengthy social media post following the concert.
“Jumped up on stage with my buddy @elleking at the Ryman last night!” Bentley shared on Instagram. “So fun to debut a new song we have together… Love you Elle!”
