Chris Young was left “blown away” on Thursday morning (Feb. 10) when the Academy Of Country Music announced the 2022 ACM Awards nominations, and he was declared the most-nominated artist with seven nominations, including Album of the Year and Single of the Year.

Young shares three of his nominations with longtime friend and collaborator Kane Brown for their chart-topping single, “Famous Friends.”

To celebrate the news, Young took to Instagram to share a video thanking fans for their support and shouting out his duet partner Kane Brown.

“SEVEN @acmawards NOMINATIONS!! Thank you guys so much!” Young captioned the clip.

“What’s up you guys, in studio with my buddy [Corey] Crowder. I just want to say thank you guys so much, blown away, never been the most nominated at any awards show ever in my career and seven’s my lucky number,” Young said in the video. “So, seven nominations feels really, really good. Shoutout to our buddy Kane Brown as well.”

“And Cary Barlowe,” Crowder chimed in, before Young added, “Oh dude, Carey, let’s celebrate.”

“See y’all in Vegas!” Young concluded.

Young is nominated as the artist and producer in the following categories: Album Of The Year, Single Of The Year, and Music Event Of The Year. The Tennessee native is also up for Video Of The Year for his “Famous Friends” music video.

Co-hosted by global icon Dolly Parton and reigning New Female and Male Artist Of The Year, Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, the 2022 ACM Awards will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

“I am so excited to be hosting the ACM Awards on March 7 from Vegas. Watch for us because we’re going to have some fun,” Parton previously shared.

For the first time ever, the show will stream on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, rather than on CBS. This marks the first time a major awards show has livestreamed exclusively.

The show promises to be a nonstop party, bringing legendary artists together with today’s favorites for exciting and unexpected collaborations, surprising moments fans will never forget, and world television-premiere performances.

More details, including the ACM Awards performance lineup, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets to attend the 2022 ACM Awards are currently on-sale at Ticketmaster.com.
