Walker Hayes Dances His Way Through The Crowd To Wife Laney During “Fancy Like” Performance At 2021 AMAs

Walker Hayes made his American Music Awards (AMAs) performance debut with his chart-topping single “Fancy Like” on Sunday, November 21.

Backed by his band, Hayes brought the party to the AMAs stage with his performance of the AMA Favorite Country Song nominated track. While Hayes performed the popular tune, the several famous audience members, including members of New Kids On The Block were seen doing the viral dance craze.

Hayes, joined by dancers, danced his way through the crowd to his wife Laney during his performance, who danced with him in her sparkly blue dress.

“Give it up for these dancers and this pretty little woman sitting on that couch,” Hayes said as he concluded his performance, referencing his wife Laney who danced with him for a brief moment.

The performance comes days after the viral hitmaker shared his latest single, “AA,” and announced his forthcoming new project, Country Stuff The Album.

Arriving on January 21, 2022, Country Stuff The Album will feature his viral hit “Fancy Like,” as well as his previously released “U Gurl,” along with “AA,” and 10 other tracks, including Hayes’ collaborations with Carly Pearce, Jake Owen, and Lori McKenna, and a re-imagined version of “Craig” featuring MercyMe. See the full track list below.

The new project will be uniquely Hayes, and share a range of emotion from nostalgia and pain to joy and good old fashion fun.

“I’ve been waiting so long to put out a project like this,” Hayes said. “It has everything I love from the fun of ‘Fancy Like’ to the more personal lyrics in ‘AA.’ As an artist, it’s such a unique thing to be able to share all the different versions of you in a project, and that’s really what I tried to do here.”
