Tim McGraw thanked his wife Faith Hill and country music for making his dreams come true. McGraw said that “everything good” in his life has “come from country music” during a recent episode (Jul. 15) of Superstar Power Hour with Audacy’s Katie Neal.

“I always say that everything good in my life has come from country music,” McGraw told Neal. “I wouldn’t have met my wife if it wasn’t for country music and I wouldn’t have these three, beautiful, strong [daughters] that I have in my life without country music. I wouldn’t have the acting experiences I have without country music. All the things I’ve gotten to do, gotten to travel the world, I probably wouldn’t be doing that had I pursued another career path,” he said.

“I’ve always been a competitor, and I’ve always been an athlete so when I jump in, I want to jump on wholeheartedly and give it everything I’ve got,” McGraw continued. “Everything in my career has way exceeded any possible dreams that I could’ve had of what I wanted to do.”

In addition to expressing gratitude to country music for his family and career, McGraw also shared that he’s been working on a new album.

“I’m actually in the middle of [working on a new album],” the “7500 OBO” singer revealed. “During [filming for] 1883, I was working on the album a little bit when I had some time, and I’ve been working on it since we stopped filming and I’m constantly working on it… We’ll have some new music ‘fore too long,” he added.

McGraw’s new project marks his sixteenth studio album. While co-hosting Country Countdown USA beside Lon Helton earlier this month, he said he’d already finished eight mixes.

“I’m in the middle of it. I’ve probably mixed eight so far, and will record a few more soon,” McGraw told Helton at the time.

”I’m always looking to beat what I did last time,” he admitted. ”I’m sure we’ll have something off the new album here before too long. I don’t know when the album will drop.”

McGraw recently wrapped his McGraw 2022 tour, which featured support from Russell Dickerson, Brandon Davis, and Alexandra Kay.
