Natalie Stovall has issued a health update with fans following a lengthy hospital stay that occurred after a routine procedure.

The Runaway June member and host of the Grand Ole Opry on Circle All Access took to social media on Thursday (Jan. 26) to share news about her medical condition and the reason for her 15-day hospital stay.

She revealed that she had Uterine fibroids, which according to Johns Hopkins Medicine are “an extremely common condition in which solid tumors develop in the uterus.”

“It’s been quite the ride. I went in for a myomectomy on Jan 9 to remove 3 large grapefruit-sized fibroids + any that were close by and “easy” to remove. Once they got in there, they took out 20 fibroids total. Even left a few in there because my surgeon was trying to make the fewest cuts on my uterus as possible,” she explained.

Unfortunately, Stovall “lost a lot of blood” during surgery and she took a turn for the worse.

“Even though I’m young and healthy my body just wouldn’t bounce back. I ended up getting a blood transfusion but by that time I already had a bowel obstruction that was wreaking havoc on my insides,” she revealed. “After days of hoping for the best I ended up having to have an NG tube for 4–5 days. (For those that know, I’m so sorry you know…)”

The singer and talented musician went a whopping 13 days without eating and spent a total of 15 days in the hospital.

In her post, she praised Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the staff that took care of her.

“I can’t even begin to brag on my caretakers enough. And my family. Oh, my family and friends. They were all rock solid and got me through. I feel so incredibly thankful to be at home and starting to heal.”

While the medical event was traumatic to say the least, Stovall said she was grateful that her situation was not worse.

“It was so scary and painful but at the same time I just think about how fortunate I am that it wasn’t something more long term or serious,” she wrote. “I’ve never been this weak before – I get out of breath just talking. And eating Ensure’s and eggs is so painful. But each time gets better.”

She closed her post by thanking fans for their prayers and promised to get back to “all the things and people I love” when she is able.

Dozens of artists flooded the comments section of Stovall’s post with get well messages and words of encouragement, including Carly Pearce, Jessie James Decker, Fancy Hagood, Logan Mize, Gwen Sebastian, Tigirlily Gold, and more.

“Oh my goodness sending you so much love! ❤️” Pearce wrote, while Decker added, “🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 praying for you and your healing ❤️❤️❤️”

“Praying for your body to heal quickly💛 wow… you’ve got this!” Tigirlily Gold said, and Mize wrote, “So sorry to hear this, Natalie! We’ll be thinking of you during your recovery. ❤️”

Hagood commented, “Natalie! Im so so sorry!! So thankful you are okay and getting better by the day!! Sending you so much love sweet friend! ❤️🙏🏻✨”

Stovall first revealed that she was hospitalized after being discharged from Vanderbilt on January 23.

“Leaving the hospital after 15 days and I am so thankful, relieved, and have never felt more loved. I will explain when I have more energy. But for now. I am happy. Thank you for all of the prayer warriors. My angels have been working overtime. 🙏🏻🤍”

Runaway June recently released their new single “Broken Hearts (Do Broken Things),” which serves as the kick-off to their new era and marks the first tune since welcoming their newest member, Stevie Woodward.

“I just feel like it’s just a girl anthem and a guy anthem,” Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne recently told Country Now and other outlets of the new track. “We’ve all gotten our hearts broken and we’ve all done some stupid things when your heart’s broken, and I just feel like none of us take ourselves too seriously and we wanna put out music that’s real and authentic and all of us have been in that situation. If it can help someone else and if someone else relates to it or is going through it at the time, that’s the whole point of music. So I think it’s just a fun breakup song.”

The trio’s next scheduled tour date will take place on June 22 in Mack, Colorado, at Jam Ranch.
